great biffalo burger and cuban sandwiches...homemade breads and cheese and the frikin bread pudding fired in a hondo is killer!!!!!! thumbs up

very disappointing
went there for 1st time. 6 pm place was empty.

bread pudding was extreme sweet, too much syrup n took long time to serve.
will not return there

was in santa fe for a few days and this place was within walking distance of the hotel. the atmosphere was great, walked in and they were able to seat us right away, the staff was very friendly and responsive. the appetizers, egg rolls with a peanut dipping sauce and chips with guacamole (good sized portion, not like most restaurants) were good. friend had the el cubano sandwich, said it was the best sandwich he had eaten, served with kimchee potatoes, also good. i had the pho, damn it was excellent. the craft beer was good, prices a little high but for the quality and portions it was worth it. will definitely be back the next time i'm in santa fe.

first off, it’s not a food truck. it was a good atmosphere with friendly enough staff. my fish tostada was good but my husband’s vegetable enchilada was awful. the menu said it would take 20 minutes which we were ok with. but it took 45 minutes and was dry and burnt when it arrived. he couldn’t eat it. at least they didn’t charge us for it.

best pizza ever!!! haves dined there about 7 times now and everything i have had there has been wonderful but keep coming back to their pizza. thin crest and the ingredients are incredible fresh. highly recommend and it is the best pizza in santa fe - actually anywhere!

don't miss the new butcher shop and bakery!. in my initial review, i raved about the bad-ass blt. chef josh just opened a butcher shop and bakery several doors down. i was able to purchase the ground bacon used there. been there now three times and have sampled many of their sausages and all are to die for (my favorite so far is the pork chorizo). the 2" thick pork chops are amazing, worth every penny. had them last week, cooked on the grill after a night in brine. nowhere in santa fe can you get this quality of meat, not even close at whole foods. bakery items i tried were equally good; cinnamon rolls and scones.

amazing sandwiches and more. my wife and i ate there today for lunch after reading a review in the new mexican. how did we miss this place? the food is excellent. after reading the review, we decided to spit the el cubano and the blt. i've never had a blt like this before, the bacon was kind of like a crispy patty with huge bacon flavor. very unique a must try. but even better was the cuban! i'm not a big pickle fan but on this sandwich, it's a must have. it shows the creatively of the chef to build a sandwich with ingredients that make a food you're not in love with a must have ingredient. the bread, which they make there was to die for. potatoes as a side on one, onion rings for the other: don't know which is better so try them both. the last piece of food on the plate was an onion ring and it was as crispy as when the order first arrived. if you love onion rings, you gotta try these. the homemade ice tea (apricot) was really lovely and while $3.50 seems high, you get refills and these guys don't skimp on the quality. service was excellent. servers use ipad mini's to take your order which is kind of cool. the menu has a lot of items i can't wait to try. this could end up being a new favorite.

update. went again on friday june 28th. had out of town guests and tried dinner for 2 (awful, see review), decided these guys needed to see what and where locals eat (anywhere south of st. michaels :-), took them to dr. field goods because they were still open past 9pm. had another wonderful meal. special that night was soft shell crab sandwich and we split two along with the incredible blt, salmon naan 'pizza' and on top of that, a burger. pretty good burger (i'm super picky) but not over the top amazing like the blt or cuban. i did like that it was med rare inside, almost charred outside. if you are in the mood for a burger, go for it but there's far more interesting and unique options here. we tried the potatoes with green chili and garlic, which was delicious and again, one of those unique offerings you'll find at this gem. my out of town guests were in love with this place.

great casual dinner spot. food was amazing. best pizza i've ever had. our waiter was exceptional. we will definitely be back to try more of the interesting menu at this place!

really tasty. three of us ate there earlier this week. i had visited twice about six months ago. i started with the potatoes bravas ,with green chile, bad idea, so good i ate most of them leaving not enough room for the red chile buffalo enchiladas which were as good as any enches i 've ever had ( and i eat lots of new mexican and mexican food). second hand, the yak burger was great as was the pork special. don't worry about getting enough to eat, servings are large. space is a challenge, hopefully when they expand the food does not suffer.

fantastic!!. i can't say enough about this new gem in santa fe. field goods started out as a food truck that could be found around town and at special events. while they still do the food truck from time to time, the restaurant is such a great upgrade. i've eaten there nearly ten times now and am never disappointed. from their sprouted grain and quinoa salad, to the steak frites, to the bacon patty (!!), to the new mexican (a pulled-pork sandwich with apple and jicama slaw on it), to i always walk away sated. so glad they've found a permanent location, so i can track them down whenever i have a craving!

sort of a cross between a sports bar and a family restaurant, the place fills one corner of a slightly run-down strip mall, and the decor is spartan. but the crowd is enthusiastic - clearly regulars - and the staff is super friendly and helpful. lots of beer choices while the wines are fewer but ok for the setting. the mushroom soup was outstanding as were the risotto balls, crispy on the outside, creamy in the middle, topped with melted mozzarella and nested in a tasty marinara. the fish tacos were good - could have used a little more fish - and spicy. the hanger steak was perfectly cooked to order, but the highlight of the dish was the amazing potatoes. prices were reasonable. a definite keeper.

telltale signs that you’ve arrived include the inviting aromas emanating from the restaurant’s custom-made oven which bears some resemblance to a new mexican horno. visit during the height of the lunch hour rush and you might not find a seat in the relatively tiny restaurant. seating is in personal space proximity and the preferred seating appears to be on the bar where diners can take in the assiduous activity of the bustling open kitchen. chef gerwin, he of the chin curtain and serious tats, holds court with guests. the atmosphere is rock and roll raucous and fun.

i wanted to like it, i did. today for lunch a friend and i decided to try dr. field goods, i've heard good things and have had yet to try them. being a vegetarian not all places have the best options, but hey comes with the territory. so when i took a look at dr. field goods menu and saw the interesting options for vegetarians i was excited to try a new take on vegetarian cuisine. i ordered the vegetarian "steak" salad, and my friend ordered the vegetable stuffed handheld burrito. luckily we also ordered the mushroom soup. i opened my to go box expecting a faux steak, maybe made from gluten, maybe tofu, maybe tempeh marinated in a steak sauce. instead i found beans thrown together in a "patty". my salad tasted...uneventful, my taste-buds yawned. i promptly checked on my friend to see how her veggie burrito fared, she looked at me saying "this is missing something, flavor" she gave me a bite and once again disappointment set in. bland. boring. veggies in a tortilla. no sauce, nothing. the one redeeming factor was that the mushroom soup was delicious. i've heard good things about the carnivorous options, but here lies my problem. why do restaurants not understand that just because i am a vegetarian does not mean that i want to graze on vegetables all day. just because i don't eat meat does not mean that i don't enjoy the meatless options ie fake meats and fyi beans are not an adequate substitute for meat. maybe you remember that i am a vegetarian and i have taste buds as well as you. needless to say i will attempt dr. field goods in the future in hopes that they revamp the vegetarian cuisine.

great food - creative and tasty!. we hope that the food truck movement catches on in santa fe. if the type of food served out of dr field goods is any indication, we're well on our way!

the field melt is one of the best burgers we've ever had! and it has a really yummy sauce on it. love the carne adovada egg rolls with the peanut sauce, too! very creative and tasty.

my sweetie really likes the breakfast wrap with bacon as well.

that they're locally sourced is an extra plus!

if you've been hesitant to try food trucks, do yourself a favor and try dr field goods. it's awesome!
