mixed bag. diner food in a kind of quirky environment. i gave this a dislike, but you have to go once and get the salad dressings and pies. however, they are way overpriced for the lack of flavor in most dishes. even so, the chicken and noodles (and beef and noodles when available), while far too salty, is pretty darn good and priced well. the pies are all delicious and the don's dressing (which seems to be a mix between brown sugar, tomato soup, and sour cream) is wonderful. i think the ranch is homemade as well and also quite delicious. rolls are good. the chicken fry breakfast is good, but it's kind of hard to mess up chicken fried steak. lots of older folks in this place as it seems to be living on from its past reputation.
spaghetti is nasty, even for a diner. burgers are decent, but not top notch. chili is not good. fries are average. jalepeno poppers taste good dipped in don's and ranch.
generally, the service is slightly slower than most diners unless you're dining alone and order the chicken and noodles or something like it.
