i recommend going shopping at the leesburg outlets, and then coming here for a refreshing beer this summer !!

great place to hang out, but: what's up with doenerbistro?? doener today had massive amounts of sauce and lettuce, but very little (and chewy) meat. doener box has, sadly, mostly french fries, but virtually no meat. one refill on the sodas is sort of bizarre, no (ice) water either? all in all, it seems quality of food is low, prices simply too high. beer selection remains great though;

great place for authentic german beer, unique location. also has a nice atmosphere inside and out. beef doener is close to the real thing, currywurst yummy and bratwurst decent. prepare yourself for a very pricey visit and non-existent food for kids. the chicken doener they serve half of the week is disappointing and surely not the real thing.

great german place. excellent food and wide variety of german beer. serving sizes are well worth the price. i ate here twice during my week in town.

i always get the donee with curry fries everytime i go there, and it's fantastic. one of my favorite places for german food.

great biergarten chill date place. i was looking for a chill place off the beaten path that was different for my next date. you know one of those places that isn't like all the other restaurants all formal and such. i think i found what i am looking for with doner bistro.
there wasn't a long line, it had a great beer selection, i enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. it felt like a good getaway from the norm, like a hidden secret that i was fortunate to discover.
give it a try its fun and different in a good way.

yum!. having never had a doner kebob before, i thought i'd try it after a "fun" filled day at the government center. i was met by a very friendly man at the register who helped explain what a doner was. i felt welcome the minute i walked into the place. i gave my order (chicken doner and pommes), took my number and went down to the eating area. a german soccer game was on the tv, german pop music was playing and the customers there were friendly like you find in similar places in germany and not yuppie snobs you tend to find in this area. the doner was served hot on a crispy bread- very full of very fresh ingredients. the only down side to it was the mess i made while eating it but that is my fault and nothing to fault the restaurant with. i am definitely coming back for more!! vielen danke!!

food was excellent. my dining companion lived in germany and loved it too. had the doner box and pommes- yum. casual, pet friendly in the biergarten, and super friendly staff.

amazing!. i was tdy to germany a few years ago and could not locate the infamous doner kebab upon returning to the states. as luck and fate would have it, i moved to leesburg, va and stumbled upon doener bistro and have been absolutely in love ever since! the owner is wonderful and so friendly, the music is very german and european, the food is phenomenal, and the beer choice is great! with only special imports from germany, you can go wrong with the beer selection! it is a great hangout for great german hand food in the best town in nova! hands down, doener bistro is a gem and one of a kind!

instant leesburg classic. highly recommended. formerly hamburg-doener, they used to sell out of a truck at various places in leesburg (the portions were a bit bigger then). now they're at the location where they moved the old mighty midget's bomber's nose to. the original doener is great, but so is the currywurst, and the doener box. i've yet to try the brats but they look excellent. nice beer selection, too. if you don't drink, try mixing the orange fanta with coke to make a german "spezi." nevermind that the doener is more a turkish creation than german . . .
they do have ice, though--if the lack of ice disturbs you, i also highly recommend never leaving the country.

great fun place!. good german beer, fun staff, good food..although limited. love their fries! try them with mayo euro-style! their annual oktoberfest adds a tent outside and is super fun. outside seating is great unless it's frigid, and they do have blankets and heaters. one of our fave places.
