donatos pizza

pretty good. the sausage was very tasty, and the apple dessert was the king of pizza deserts. a dubious honor, but an honor nonetheless. "thicker" crust is as described. not thick, but thicker than a cracker crust. generous toppings and reasonable price. not the world's greatest, but...well...pretty good.

i have never been this disrespected in my life. me and my team were working late on the night of 2/22/2019  and ordered 3 medium pizza all pepperoni. when he pizzas arrived, they were smushed and on one side of the box. we contacted donatos and they sent our 3 new pizza's but they were all cheese. we contacted them again and man claiming to be " patrick" stated he would give us a credit.

2 weeks later we called to redeem our credit and not only do they not have the credit on file, they claim no knowledge of patrick. we we spoke to the manager, and i use that term loosely, she hung up on us.

we then proceeded to go to the return in person. the manager nancy walked away from us in person and refused to even talk to us any further. 

furthermore, when we asked if patrick was working today, nancy stated that he was busy on the "make counter" and couldn't come to the counter to provide his assistance. when the gentleman i believed to be patrick came close enough to the front counter, i asked him if he was the patrick who issued us the credit initially. the gentleman then stated that patrick wasn't working today.  she threatened to call the police on me and my business partners.

this is ridiculous.

my team and i had an issue with a delivery two weeks ago that we were supposed to be credited for and now management isn’t able to locate the credit in the system, the employee we spoke with (who claimed to me the manager on duty) turned out not to be a manager at all capable of issuing credits for orders nor are they honoring that credit. we requested to be connected with the gm and we were hung up on.

the four of us visited the store location shortly after and we were treated extremely rudely, disrespected by the manager on duty, nancy, and while we were working to resolve the situation, nancy walked away from the front counter and continued working in the back. 

when we asked if patrick was working today, nancy stated that he was busy on the "make counter" and couldn't come to the counter to provide his assistance. when the gentleman i believed to be patrick came close enough to the front counter, i asked him if he was the patrick who issued us the credit initially. the gentleman then stated that patrick wasn't working today. 

we were then asked to leave the store from the pizza making area which was even more rude and disrespectful as we are customers. i will never order food from this place ever again!!!!!

definitely one of the best pizzas in the newport area. as they write on their box - every piece is important - the pizza lives up to the reputation. the only downside - just one option in veggie pizza.

among all the pizzas we have tried in the us, this has been the best so far. the veggie pizza is great. the ingredients do taste very fresh and the pizza is well made - not doughy at all. the options in customization are great, so you can make changes based on your taste.

the delivery is great. so far, always ahead of time even in rough weather, so that is commendable.

recommend this place on any day for pizzas.
