lovely. i've been eating here since before they made over half of the menu dedicated to sushi. i really miss the selection they had for authentic korean food.

the women who work here are really nice. the food is good proportions and tastes excellent. i've been continuing to eat here for the past couple years.

a very good restaurant. i especially like the size of the sushi rolls, they are huge!
i would rank the sushi as one of the top five in columbus based on the quality of the california roll that i tasted.

i'll start this review by saying i don't have much experience with korean food, but diaspora overall seemed pretty average and nothing more. i ordered the udon bowl with tiger roll (tempura fish with crab meat) lunch special for $8.95. the tiger roll was okay but nothing especially impressive. the udon soup had good flavor, but being just a bowl of noodles with pretty flavorful broth was not that satisfying. both dishes were decent, but getting a basic 4 piece sushi roll and a small bowl of noodles for $8.95 isn't really a "special" in my book. overall the food was decent, but personally i would definitely want to try other korean places or go to other restaurants on high street before coming to diaspora again.

not the most easily noticeable restaurant on high street, but it is definitely one of the best! the sushi is phenomenal and i have never been disappointed.

the tiger roll should actually be called the orgasm roll. the black soy paste noodles with tofu was wonderful. loads of food, helpful staff and a great price.

nothing compares - delightful. exceptional food, excellent service, great location, amazing price. what's not to love? both the korean cuisine and the sushi are impeccable, unforgettable, absolutely delicious and devine. really, i cannot say enough about the awesomeness of the food. wow wow wow. and, it's served so beautifully and patiently. you can taste the love with which it's prepared. i'm not kidding! and the service, so personable, attentive, polite, professional, helpful, just really delightful. the location is campus so it's very relaxed, clean, very interesting lighting and ambiance, with the simplicity one would want around campus. and the price. omg. it's so affordable. it's priced for college kids, after all. like me, you'll probably make this your number one choice for sushi; every place else, and there are some really exceptional places even in columbus, really do come in second for me, for the taste, presentation and service alone. btw there is parking in the back. you will love diaspora!!!!!

diaspora is awesome!. i have been to diaspora countless times over the course of 5 years. they have changed their menu since back then, but most dishes are very delicious! they have korean and japanese cuisine (as in sushi, udon, and tonkatsu). they have contemporary sushi rolls that are all pretty delicious. if you order a scallop roll however, be aware that some of their scallop rolls are raw while others are cooked. i personally recommend the shrimp tempura roll, spider roll, or kamikaze roll. my favorite non-sushi dish is the tonkatsu (fried pork with sauce, aka extremely awesome here compared to other restaurants). i will also add that sometimes they get a little busier than they can handle, so please be patient with them! they are such sweet people and have known me by name since my 4th visit.

excellent. i know i've posted before, but i've probably visited ten times since then. the place is great. the waitress (owner?) always recognizes us and the food arrives quickly--hot and delicious (or in the case of sushi, fresh and tight).
try the tofu appetizer. i don't even like tofu (or didn't) but the texture, mouth feel, of this dish is outstanding. delicate and warm on the inside, crispy and a bit salty on the outside . . . yum!
i think it's a good sign when the clientele of an asian joint is mixed western/asian. it's accessible and comfortable for americans but authentic for asians looking for a taste of home.

i really like it. we tried this place once, and i was so blown away that i figured it must be a fluke. now we've been there three times, and i can easily say this is our favorite sushi place (well, at this price point. if you want transcendence, then go to kihachi, but of course, then you pay kihachi prices, rightly so). if you just want excellent sushi at a great price, come here. best spicy tuna ever. to me, spicy tuna rolls are a litmus test at japanese restaurants, kind of like soup at american restaurants. if it's good, that speaks volumes.

the food is fresh, well prepared . . . and the service is incredibly solicitous, efficient. i'm sad that we didn't try the place sooner--it's on the osu campus and we didn't realize they had easy parking in the back.

huge sushi rolls!. we tried the heart attack app, godzilla roll, and kamikaze roll. the heart attack was spicy and delicious. the godzilla was good, but we preferred the flavor and spice of the kamikaze. both rolls were huge--significantly larger than what we consider normal. come hungry! we wouldn't recommend ordering more than one roll per person. we're excited to try the korean dishes on our next visit.

an unpretentious room at lane and high filled with authentic korean food. there are more korean customers than anglos, which speaks volumes. amazing bulgogi! my wife and i will be back soon.

we got the pizza mania appetizer to start off. it was delicious, there was an incorporation of cream cheese that gaveair a rich flavor. i had the shrimp tempura, it was also very good, also very filling. the atmosphere was very humbling and modern. quick service as well

love it!. my husband and i were regulars during our studies at osu. the food is wonderful and the service even better. the women working always made sure you had enough of what you wanted and helpful finding something new. all i wanted when i was pregnant with our son was their kimchi and broccoli salad. after our son was born and he was able to eat table foods the ladies would bring him soup and rice. the staff is wonderful and remember you! it has been hard to go to other korean places without the guilt of skipping something so wonderful! kid friendly!

...with avocado and tofu, and it was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. the best surprise? all this fresh, made-to-order food costs so little - in this case, about $5!

the sushi is good and the prices are reasonable, though it had a little bit of a dirty feel since we were surrounded by four tables that still had all the dirty dishes and left over food. the tables took 10 to 30 minutes each to finally get cleaned up.
