how do you say awesome in tex mex? best tacos i've ever had! service is fast and attentive. this is my new favorite place.

food was just ok. service was the same. waitress didn't know the menu and argued with us on what came with a specific entree. after reviews and several items on the menu that were "award winning" we went in with high expectations. i would have rather made ramen, stayed in my pjs and saved myself 80 bucks.

had my husband bday dinner here! food was delish and drinks were on point!!!! i will come back! despardos tacos are my fav!!! i got a texas tornado which was ironic because a huge one hit yesterday!! god bless those famlies!!

first restaurant that i visited in dallas. one of the most buzzing restaurants on the greenville avenue, desperados looks just amazing from outside. it has its party lights on in the night. the hotel is built up in a house so it looks good from outside. has good space for a celebration.

went along with a gang of friends to try out some mexican cuisine and i must say i was impressed with the food and the drinks that they served us.

the staff was pretty pro active with our requests and helped us out in selecting the menu. a couple of us were vegetarians so we ordered quesadillas, tacos and fajitas. all of them were just yummy. the portion was good too. one person can eat it without remaining hungry for the next order. we had ordered their famous frozen margarita and also sangria. sangria was sweet but margarita was just excellent for the taste buds. my friends who were feasting on non-veg were very impressed with the stuff they had ordered.


the ambience is pretty good too. dim lights, light music just lifts your mood.

all in all pretty good. keep up the good work. will be back again.

soooooo good! the desperado tacos are amazing!!! definitely a must try for tex-mex lovers. cute, quaint place for date night. i will definitely be back!

i love this place. my gf likes going to the trendy mexican restaurants around dallas, but l would definitely rather go to desperadoes. their food is great and at reasonable prices. the house margaritas are a little weak though.

love the brunch!!! huaraches and omelettes are amazing! can't go wrong! also love their salsa!! spicy!! think i'm gonna purchase a jar to take home! service was also very good, very friendly staff! : ) coming back every chance i can when i come in town!

if you don't like this place then you must hate food in general. come for the desperado tacos, stay for the famous la margaritas! bring someone that will drive you home, the. drunkness will sneak up on you!

best tex-mex and margaritas ever! everything on the menu is delicious! my favorites as the desperados nachos, the quesadillas alcopulco, and the fajitas. wednesdays are $2 margarita nights and sundays are happy hour all day. their on the rocks house margaritas are the best i have ever had. in addition if you are in the mood for dessert the fried latte can not be beat. it's a unique and utterly indulgent treat.

i love the desperado tacos. they are the best in dallas. i have been going to desperados for almost 30 years and the food and service are always great.

great tacos, amazing fajitas and house margaritas are $2 all day on wednesday. you can't go wrong here!

sick mexican food. everything about this place is good. especially the margaritas. preferred mexican restaurant on greenville.

comfy, cozy and tasty. i'm a heathen by local standards - not a great fan of texmex. but since everybody else is, i'm grateful for places that i can enjoy. this is one of them.

the ambiance is cozy because it is broken up into numerous smaller rooms - including two with a fireplace. service has always been friendly and effective. on our last visit i had the chili relleno - it was amazingly good. the cuatros leches cake was outstanding - our server promised it would be when i asked to make sure they had it that night before ordering the rest of my meal.

this is sort of in our "neighborhood", and will be on our list of options more often than it has been before now.
