depot deli

yummy. i live in sisters and the depot is one of our favorites. great veggie burgers and veggie sandwiches, and all of their salads are really good - my favorite is the pear and walnut.

for the non-vegetarians, my boyfriend's favorites are the gyro and the juevos rancheros.

they have quiet outdoor seating in the back, plus a few tables out front if you prefer people watching. inside is small, but my daughter likes the train running around the ceiling.

after ordering breakfast at the counter i was served a perfect latte which is always a good way to start breakfast. i ordered the huevos rancheros and it was delicious. it was also different than the usual version of this dish as it was topped with a rancheros sauce similar to what is frequently served on an enchilada. i got a few bites of blueberry pancake and i thought this was good too. the restaurant has good sized outdoor seating and a cozy indoor seating area! i would like to return to sit outside, weather permitting.

great chai milkshake!. the chai milkshake sounds odd but was absolutely delicious!

my turkey sandwich was just ok - the bread seemed a little stale - and my wife's burger was good, but not great.

great sandwich. chili was good. everyone else's food looked great also. small with few tables. you will have a chance to make new friends, like we did. we will come back.

it's a small place and had good food. the chili and soup we ordered wasn't quite warm enough. the gyro a la carte was mediocre at best. i had the turkey and pepper jelly sandwich, which was very good.

amazing sandwiches! if it wasn't for urban spoon we wouldn't have come here. the smoked turkey and pepper jelly was incredible. friendly staff and just an all around great place to stop and eat. absolutely coming back!

regular stop going to and coming from bend. my wife and i stop here nearly every trip from albany to bend and back. the combination of it's location and the great quality of their food is the both convienent and appetizing. my wife gets the portabella mushroom burger everytime. she loves it. she isn't even vegatarian.
i change it up. everything i have had is good. the last time i was there i went with a review from urbanspoon that said they liked the gyro. it was great. while it tastes like a gyro, it's more of a salad just to warn you. it's not a bad thing. i actually like their take on it. it comes on a pita-like bread and with a modest amount of gyro meat and lots of fresh vegtables/salad. their gyro sauce has a unique twist to it that i really liked.
i love their fries and cookies too!!!
the last time i was there, a stranger that we sat by swore by the expresso milk shake. i didn't get it, but i'll try it in the future.

best breakfast in town! the depot deli has my heart & taste buds singing! they were very accommodating to my gluten free dietary needs. my fresh cracked custom omlette was simply delectable! sliced avocado tasted like it was fresh from the garden! my hubby's review: if you are looking for a good traditional breakfast with exceptional service this is the place to go.

a little below average. prefacing this review by saying we're traveling from chicago

my wife had a salad with bleu cheese and walnuts. the walnuts were supposed to be candied - but were not. the salad dressing was a too bland for her taste and the greens were drowned in it. she barely ate any of it. i thought it was passable, but not nearly as good as it read from the menu. we sat next to a nearby table of 5-6 ladies, all who ordered salads and all of them left a substantial amount of salad on their plate at the time they left.

i ordered a turkey with peppercini, mayo, onion, avocado on wheat with an accompaniment of chili. it seemed as if half the sandwich was missing (or had very limited) the onion and peppercini and the other half had it. also, they brought fries with my sandwich instead of the chili i ordered. the sandwich was decent and the chili was good.

they have an outdoor patio in the back that was nice. it had some interesting artwork.

i do not recommend the salads, but given the limited option in sisters for interesting sandwich combinations, i'd try that again.

as much as it hurts me to say this, if any of you have heard of panera bread or corner bakery, i'd say the food there is better.

delightful & delicious!. i had the chicken quesadilla on a spinach tortilla and found it excellent. my friend loved her spinach salad. lovely to sit at an outside table in the sun, surrounded by fun sculptures made of recycled materials - liked "bird woman" the best. this was my friend's choice for our lunch spot. she's lived in the sister's area for 30 years and this cafe came up numero uno!! i'll be back.

this place is delicious. i recommend getting the quisadilla or the vegetarian sandwich. i'm not a vegetarian, but i loved this sandwich. i don't know if it was worth ten dollars a plate though.

fresh and good!. we lunched here a couple of times during deer camp last year. good deli sandwiches and soups. (much healthier than the snow cap!) it's a tiny little place right on sisters' charming main street. we'll be back in october!
