excellent! ambiance, service, food and prices for food were all excellent!!

our waitress was knowledgeable about the beers and offered samples of anything for tasting. the bellini's and mimosa's are $3 for sunday (11-3). we asked for two entrees and stayed we would share...the waitress went ahead and split our orders which was above and beyond thoughtful! taste? fantastic! fried cauliflower was reminiscent of a buffalo with wing and the guinness burger had a wonderful sauce!! generous chicken fingers for kids!

the first weekend i ever visited scott in virginia, he took me to old town. in fact, it was valentine’s day. 10:00 pm arrival, and off we went to what is one of the most enchanting and charming historical towns i’ve ever seen. even though we had v-day dinner in a bar. still romantic.  more on my valentine’s day surprise later, but needless to say, it was epic. i think that first weekend i spent in virginia back in february, scott took me to old town at least 3 times, if not more. i think he knew that if there was a way to win my affections for his area, old town would be it. i’ve lived in the hampton roads area, but my current digs were syracuse, ny. he didn’t have to try too hard to charm me. not only did we eat valentine’s day dinner late night snack in old town, but it didn’t take long to discover how big of a deal brunch is in this area. scott would talk about brunch constantly during our first month of long distance dating, but i had no idea how mu

good food. the food is very good. however, the service is not consistant, and the hostesses and waiters seem pretty disorganized.

the customer service is the worst that we have ever experienced. we were served by a manager with sarcasm, threw our plates and was very disrespectful. he got our order wrong every time and sarcastically apologize. we felt that he was a racist because we were the only hispanics and said that we don't speak english. we will never go back to this restaurant again.

cool irish pub to grab a snack with brews in old town alexandria.

initially came for a beer with friends but couldn't resist trying out the irish egg roles since i've been on a corned beef kick lately. the dubliner cheddar combined with the corned beef and cabbage inside of the wonton wrap had a great flavor along with its honey mustard dipping sauce.

my friend decided she wanted dessert rather than an appetizer so ordered their delicious apple pie. the pie provided a fresh taste of apple and cinnamon. for me, the crust is what really made the dish. some of the best i've tasted in while.

this place is most definitely worth more visits. i'm a fan of irish pubs so that's a plus as well.

great food, amazing location; excellent service. this is a superb place for lunch- the interior of the pub is just gorgeous. even the bathrooms are nice. ordered the corned beef and cabbage- it was well prepared and the portions are liberal. plenty of local beers on tap here. i imagine this place gets swamped on weekends and during high season. parking is tough- so good luck. try parking further away and walking in- the sights are exceptional.

best atmosphere i've experienced at a pub

this is a really cool bar. the guinness burger was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious.

had a very bad experience. waitress was great but the kitchen and bar couldn't get it right. one of two dinners came out with the appetizer, then the second dinner didn't come out for 15 mins. they messed up drink orders twice at the bar (white instead of red wine) and two items that we ordered were no longer offered, do we had to change.

fun...and good whiskey. we discovered the best irish whiskey called red breast thanks to the irish bartender here. i dont even like whisky but i like this stuff...hmm, maybe that can be a bad thing, lol.
anyway, this place is fun like you'd expect an irish bar to be. we'd already stuffed ourselves on seafood so we didnt try any of the food here.

great place when dining solo. i was very pleased with the service sitting at the bar. i had the lovely lamb chops, a side salad and a great drop of red to boot. the bread pudding was yummy also. i can't complain except for the hard bar stool. i was happy as a laughing leprechaun. mangia!

the place was an enchanting treat for a spring luncheon, shared outdoors at the base of old town.

every dish experienced was a testimony of a well-rounded artist in the kitchen. the white wine mussels was a comforting entre with a splash of magic that spoke to elegant simplicity.

the food was delicious, offering layers of well-combined spices and textures. even a dish as ordinary as calamari sang with exotic tones and taste.

definitely a must when in the metropolian area.

great food, chef is amazing. don't confuse this with an irish pub though, too uppity.

wonderful lamb burger. i went in for a pint while i was in town on business and ended up staying for dinner. the bar was full of tourists from ireland and they were on the piss really hard. so, i joined in and ended up spending the afternoon singing silly songs, drinking loads of ale and whiskey, and eventually ordered a burger to absorb some of the liquid carbs i had downed.

the server told me to try the lamb burger and i almost passed on it. good thing i didn't. it was wonderful, juicy, flavorful, loaded with cheese and perched on a very nice bun that seemed hand made.

i would definitely make this a must stop if you are in old town alexandria.

this was a very nice place. the service was excellent and the food was the same. the shepeards pie was new to me but an excellent choice. prices are decent for quality of food. i recommend this place to anyone going to old towne!
