dad's sandwiches

this place was awesome! excellent service and even better food. i got the hot blonde and it was outstanding. bring a friend!

almost everything on the menu can be modified to vegetarian or vegan. some items can be made with a morning star veggie patty. others are mouth watering enough to just nix the meat.

the guys were really cool and helpful and the food was very good. the sandwiches are very good sized and parking was nice and in front. i would come here again. :)

very good food & just off the freeway!

i ran out for a quick lunch yesterday at dad's sandwiches on s street, one of the restaurants participating in this month's sacramento vegan chef challenge. since dad's is a sandwich shop, rather than a full-service restaurant, they aren't offering a vegan appetizer, dinner entree, or dessert like the other participating restaurants. what they are offering is a very tasty and extremely filling vegan meatloaf sandwich. the sandwich is served on sliced sourdough bread, which is lightly toasted and spread with a sun-dried tomato aioli. in addition to a generous slab of vegan meatloaf, the sandwich also includes spinach, pickles, and pickled onions. i had them leave off the pickled onions, but i thought the sun-dried tomato aioli and the pickles really made the sandwich. the biggest problem with this sandwich is that dad's seems to have a hard time keeping enough vegan meatloaf in stock. i was there just before noon yesterday, and got the only slice of vegan meatloaf they had left. i read

the sandwiches are awesome. the bue collar dream is the best tri-tip sandwich i have ever eaten, anywhere. nobody else even comes close. you have to try their sandwiches.

fun atmosphere, friendly staff, great tattoos. like that they make their own strawberry lemonade, but it was a bit tart for my taste. "day after" sandwich was yummy. i will be back to try others!

my fav is the blt, it's the best and what i always order. try it you'll like it!

if you like fresh produce and meat, not the crap you get at subway and quiznos, eat at dads. they have a large selection of creative sandwiches, salads, breakfast sandwiches, homemade soups and pastries and a good beverage selection.

as of the time of this review, the approval rating of dad's was at 60%. this means that 40% of people rating dad's are morons. eat at dad's.
