amazing vegan restaurant!!!

i was invited to meet some friends here for lunch yesterday. what an amazing vegan restaurant!!!

we started with the zucchini blossoms appetizer, which were incredible. the server told me go with either the impossible burgers or the chicken and waffles. one person in our group did the impossible burger, another the crossroads bowl, and the other autumn bowl. all were excellent!!

i am going to make the trip back for sure!!

upscale vegan tapas

our "to go" place to for any celebration. vegan food taken to the extreme in terms of quality and presentation. the atmosphere is upscale and very well integrated into the melrose avenue scene! try the vegan cheese platter to never miss cheese again

do not eat here!!! if i could give it negative stars i would! i ended up paying $250 for 2 meals!!! first off they charged me $75 for an appetizer plate of pasta with alfredo sauce and a couple shavings of chocolate on top! price was not listed on menu as it was a today's special and waitress did not tell me price. everything is medoicre. nothing tasty or special about any of it! we had 4 small plates(these plates are tiny people!) and 2 cocktails each for a whopping price of $250 with tip. the waitress was lousy! other servers giving you the food. this place is all hype. i attempted 3 times to contact the manager, who by the way is never in, and only got a return message from a hostess saying he would contact me. never did! the most expensive meal of our lives!!!!! i will post negative comments wherever i can on the internet about this place!

i normally don’t do much on weekend nights, since i tend to do all of my adventuring during the day, but when my friend (who i met from my marathon training team last year) invited me to attend a concert with her at the troubador, i agreed because why not?. before getting to the venue at 8pm, we had dinner at a way-too-fancy vegan place—crossroads kitchen.

as a committed carnivore, i was a little hesitant about trying out this highly rated and hyped vegan restaurant.

i was blown away - absolutely outstanding.  the tapas style sharing option allows you to enjoy a multitude of plates, each as tasty as the last.

shout out to the following plates:

kale caesar
bolognese lasagna
scallopini parmesan
spanakopita

outstanding. highly recommended.

way overpriced. give me a break.

small plates, indeed. you know you are in trouble when the waitress announces that it is "about three plates per person" at about $12.00 each, sans drink and/or dessert. the food was very good, just not enough, sharing gives you maybe a bite each (for four).

the atmosphere was nice, oh yah, except when we were bum rushed into an area adjoining the main room which was about 10% full. perhaps our party of 4 weren't "special" enough for the main room. and we did dine early, like 6:30.

kind of pretentious, overpriced. won't be back, won't recommend either.

...i went into the year old vegan restaurant on melrose, crossroads, with a little trepidation. tal ronnen is the chef behind crossroads. he's locked arms and knives with and for celebs like oprah, ellen degeneres and portia de rossi, but he's also written a ny times bestseller, the conscious cook. he

the restaurant has an unusual look to it with a gray painted facade donning two knives as the only indicator that you've arrived. inside, it is very nice with a beautiful bar, tables, and booths set in low lighting. i was impressed immediately upon entering. since i arrived well before a group of my friends, i decided to start m

crossroads kitchen asserts a state of the art spin on having it all while having a conscience. farm to fare provisions span small plates to sweet cocktails to sandwiches and caesars to sunday suppers with a side of scene. something distinctly du jour is happening here. and it’s happening, ever so healthily.

at this time of day, you order at the counter, and they bring you the food… …we split everything – starting with the kale salad… …and two sandwiches – “the caan” and “le prevot.” the “cheese” was nut-based – very light and refreshing – an appropriate mozzarella substitute.
