entering the cafe is like an escape from the hustle and bustle metro. lucious trees and bushes surround the area. a koi pond that was once a world war ii bomb crater together with the trees and bushes at the back of the cafe serves as a panoramic view of nature, a paradise in the middle of the city.
all dishes serve in crescent moon cafe incorporate the natural flavors of their ingredients. they shy away from preservative and enhancer because chef bey wants each of their guests to smell the real aroma and taste the true flavors of the dishes that they serve.
among the staple dishes of crescent moon cafe is alagao appetizer. alagao appetizer is chef bey's version of the famous thai street food, miang kham. it is composed of basil, dried coconut, chili, ginger, green mango, onion, shrimp, sweet peanut sauce and alagao leaf.  you can mix and match the fillings of the alagao leaf depending on your preference.

another staple dish of cresent moon is the pumpkin coconut soup. the soup is creamy with a tinge of sweetness coming from the pumpkin. it has bits of coconut meat that added texture to the soup.along with the staple dishes of the cafe is the chicken wings with mulberry mayo dip. the chicken is seasoned well and has a crunchy breading. the meat is tender and has a tinge of sweet flavor. the dip, on the other hand, has a sour and fruity taste.along with the chicken wings is the pork indian curry. this dish is oozing with flavor and spices. it has tender and juicy meat.
a visit crescent moon cafe is not complete without savoring the famous suman or rice cake of antipolo. they two varieties of suman. the first one is with manga and the second is the black suman.

suman with manga is served with a slender shaped rice cake wrapped in banana leaf and a slice of ripe mango. the suman is well cooked, has a tinge of sweet taste and perfectly blend with the mango.

on the other hand, the black suman is served with black sticky rice, drizzled with coconut sauce and topped with adobong casoy. this suman is sweet and full of texture coming from the casoy and the black rice. black suman has a mixture of sweet and salty taste.

aside from their all natural and delectable dishes, crescent moon cafe also provide great service to their guests. the staff, chef and the owners of the cafe always make sure that each guest is served well. every now and then, they check each table and to check the needs of their guest.

the serving portion was good, the tom kha is like a creamy coconut sinigang, worth a try! the rice meals tasted good. we had the pork knuckles which is like the hong ma in chinese restaurants, and also the adobo.

if you are looking for a quiet, secluded place to have lunch with your family, you have to go to this gem of a place hidden in the hills of antipolo aptly called crescent moon cafe.

tip: you have to get a reservation as the place gets fully booked especially on a weekend.

me and my family went there today to celebrate mother's day. their menu : alagaw rolls for their starter, nilaga for their soup, and for the main course, they have grilled liempo, chicken curry, grilled salmon and red pasta and for their dessert, their famous suman and mango.

my verdict:
the place - 4
the staff - 4
the food - 4

will definitely go back here.

crescent moon cafe serves a special set menu everyday. that's what this resto is all about. you cannot really just order from a menu. its unorthodox approach surely makes it unique. the food is just okay. one time they had grilled chicken and it tasted like it came from your neighborhood lechon manok stall and on the overcooked side. maybe the chef was having a bad day. nothing great.. but they have a lot of things to offer like their pottery, garden and fish pond with kois and other aquatic pets. if you love to do selfies, this is for you.

price is ok, ambiance is rustic and has that nice provincial feel. location is secluded... make sure to use your navigational app.

i found this place out of the recommendation from various blogs and it did not disappoint. the restaurant had limited seats yet the place is amazing. you are surrounded by crafts and arts which gives the place a whimsical vibe. they have their pottery display which is also for sale.

the food was amazing. we ordered the following:
✔️alagao - is a game changer. at first, i was hesitant to take it because i am not fond of veggies but this is great! no wonder they are known for this.
✔️beef rendan - the meat is tender and the curry flavor is great. you can taste how creamy it is.
✔️ glass noodles - its quite spicy and its heavy
✔️ suman at tsokolate - one of their best selling suman. the best!
✔️ brewed coffee - they serve quality and amazing coffee! taste it as it is to get the best experience.

this place is must when you visit rizal.

lovely ambience and a unique dining experience because of pottery. since pandemic is not over yet, i like it that there's much more space inside the restaurant. it wasn't crowded at all compared to the other restaurant that we visited on the same day.

we ordered alagao rolls, tom yum and beef rendang. beef was tender and savory. a must-try is the alagao rolls. it has full of fresh flavors. i like the punch of kamias in there which i thought was mango. if you're into thai food, you're going to love this place.

my only suggestion is to have the servers wear disposable gloves when serving the dishes.

i went here with my family after a whole day of roaming around antipolo. we arrived at around 4:45pm and though they would be closing at 5:00pm, they still received us gladly. we ordered their homemade suman, brewed coffee and moringa calamansi. their suman, whether with mango or ala mode, was one of the best i have tasted so far! brewed coffee and moringa calamansi was good too. we were also able to feed the coys at their small pond at the side of the dining area while waiting for our order. all in all, our whole experience was great and truly memorable. we thank the staff for their kindness and we appreciate that they have extended their working hours in order to accommodate us. customer service at its finest! we will definitely come back to try their dishes. thank you, crescent moon cafe! 🙂

where healthy and tasty meets!.:) good food. ambiance is so-so. reservation is highly recommended. we went there for a date but the place was crowded with students. tables outside didn't offer that privacy too. prolly needs some house music for that coz you hear other guests convo loud and clear. ;)

nice place with trees and a pond but they don’t serve breakfast. we drove for an hour only to find out that they only serve buffet lunch. it was a little disappointing especially as it’s on top of the list of restos.
