wow!. my last visits (6) to old town location have been superb!
my only disappointment is i like my favorites so much, i'll never work my way through the menu.
i've been a customer for 2 years, and they just keep getting better! like the happy hour improvements, sweet potato fries, etc.
thanks, s&s!

the new in old town. like night and day in old town at 2321 san diego avenue....
on my first visit, the new crazeeburger location was outstanding, even better than the north park original; and most of the staff were old friends. the building and interior are classy and clean. i ordered the angus burger plus bacon, both medium rare, with bun and fries toasted and crispy.. everything.was perfect; bacon and burger piping hot and juicy, fries and bun crispy plus it was 1/2 price wine tuesday! well worth the months they awaited the abc license to open.
two days later i went back and ordered the exact same thing from a crew i'd never seen before. on both visits it was midafternoon and i was the only customer.
i was served just the opposite of what i wanted; a well done dry burger with well done, black extra crispy bacon with average, needed to be crisper regular fries and a cold bun.
if i order something that a restaurant can't/won't serve, i want to told up front right then, rather than be served just the opposite.
i questioned the server about not getting what i ordered and was told, "it's premade".
finally, they offered to redo the bacon. right; now it was replaced with just very dark brown, very extra crispy cold bacon, "at no charge"...
other explanations offered:
"local ordinance says we have to serve it this way."
"fda requires 165 degrees internal temperature."
of course, none of this made sense.
i get a pink burger here and everywhere in town except the fast food burger places, but now no more at crazeeburger?
fortunately, great burgers are still cooked to order elsewhere.
