bon appetit!. cozy and intimate with delicious food and great service all at a reasonable price. my experience started off on the right foot when i called to tell them i was running a bit behind on our reservation time. the gentleman on the phone assured me that he would hold our table for whatever time we arrived. we arrived about 20 minutes after our scheduled time and people were waiting for seating but we were taken directly to our table. the house salad, mussels and lamb chops were exceptional. i will be recommending this delightful place to my friends.

huge disappointment!. after all the good reviews i made reservations here for my birthday. i brought my entire family and we were all very disappointed. i was actually embarrassed because they are all from out of town and are total foodies and appreciate good food and good service. our waitor was very unengaged and seemed quite miserable. wasnt attentive or friendly. the food was surprisingly oily and flavourless. the dish towels they use for napkins were a total turn off. the only good thing i tasted was the pasta carbonara with bacon and cream. everything else was mediocre at best! i was so let down and will not return unfortunately. i really wish this wasn't the case because i love supporting local restaurants.

my favorite all time restaurant. wait staff is friendly yet professional food is spectacularly good, ambiance is romantic. we've been coming to cookshop for a long time and will continue to dine with lino.

honesty i don't have one bad thing to say about this place. been going here for years and always thoroughly impressed :)
as a person coming from italian background, it's the closest thing to nonnas cooking!

love it here! so romantic and the food is unbelievable. from the appetizers to the salad and their pastas/steak diane...it's all delicious!!!! the cook's shop never disappoints!!!!

the food was traditional and good, the waitress was very personable and attentive, however the decor could use some updating, which had not changed from my last visit 20 years ago.

great experience, great food. cook's shop is indeed, as noted above, one of the most romantic restaurants around. the restaurant is intimate and charming, the service is attentive, and the food is impeccable. that it is ridiculously reasonable for outstanding food is an unexpected bonus. can't recommend cook's shop highly enough.

birthday dinner. i went here for the first time for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. it was amazing. the atmosphere was great, our food was all perfect and our waiter was so friendly, attentive and helpful. it took me 22 years of living in windsor to try this place out- but i am so glad i finally did. i will be visiting this place as often as i can from now on. this is definitely my new italian restaurant of choice!

terrific service. a great waitstaff can make or break a restaurant experience. during my visit, chrystal was efficient and very friendly. food was good - linguine with their house tomato sauce was very flavourful, carbonara was less so. complimentary caesar salad and great garlic bread preceded our mains, a nice touch for an italian restaurant. desserts are an absolute must try here. banana tart is not actually a tart, but a delicious moist cake. tirimisu is also very, very good. order a side of coffee or espresso with them - why not for $.50??

house red is good, and affordable ($15.50 for 1/2 l)
