my first night in napa valley!!!! we wanted to do it big for my girl jenell & melanie’s birthday. we were in napa on a sorority trip and it was so good to see all my girls!!! jenell chose the restaurant and it was an excellent choice. it was elegant and sophisticated. we were wished up to the upper level to a table by the window. great view of the street below. our waiter was amazing. its hard to keep 9 women satisfied, lol!

wow! now that is what fine dining is all about. nice atmosphere. fantastic service. wonderful food. excellent wine. good, good, good. so much like any chophouse, the menu is a la carte. there were 6 in our group. i ordered the seasonal salad to start. my main course was the "steak frites" which here was a 7 oz wagyu beef hangar steak charred on the outside, medium rare as ordered in the inside, with a chimichurri sauce and shoestring fries. it was absolutely fabulous for this carnivore! the sides are served "family style", so the table ordered grilled asparagus with hollandaise sauce, roasted wild mushrooms, and sweet corn. yum! all were great. others ordered the rack if lamb and the rib-eye steak and all raved about their meals. they have a wonderful steakhouse wine list. i ordered several bottles of the ehlers 120 over 80 red blend which complemented the meals quite nicely. the sommelier was very helpful but not obtrusive. all in all, a wonderful meal.

disappointing...we had a party of 7 and half the entrees came out a full 15 minutes before the rest of the entrees - unacceptable for any restaurant, much less a high end steakhouse. the wait staff was unapologetic...

up sale food and service. i highly recommend the 28 day dry aged rib eye steak. wonderful people and food everything we ordered was fabulous!

if you are looking for a great american steak house, come on in. from the same owner as celadon, this usually crowded restaurant features 21 day dry-aged prime steaks, certified angus beef, formula fed veal, new zealand lamb and fresh seafood.

all around great experience. we again ate at the bar and had excellent service. steak and hash browns of course! they always have salad specials for $7 and other great sides. wines by the glass are good but high price. will return always

birthday dinner. just plain excellent. expensive but worth it.

average, at best. great wait staff. food...bland in flavor. meat quality was good...but not exceptional, like they promote (top 3%). i'd put it on par with outback steakhouse, but with better setting/ambiance and staff.

came to this eatery in september while on vacation, food was excellent, steak and hashbrowns were excellent our waiter was top notch, we met a couple that sat next to us very nice people who lived on silarado trail, sure wish i got thetr name and number, they were retired nice prople and seemed to know our waiter well.

if you are expecting a top notch chop house, stop and don't come here. average service, drinks and food. everyone pleasant enough but lots of tourists who don't know a great steak house. steaks were overcooked at every table by us. but great location in a great town.

service was excellent - probably one of the priciest meals i've had, but it tasted like it. steaks were cooked to perfection,sides were excellent, and even the "cheap" bottleof wine was above par.stayed for coffee and dessert, both superb. they even replaced the coffee we spilled without hesitation. great presentation and variety. we spent about $275 for two people, salad, entres and sides,dessert and coffee, and a $100 bottle o vino. would come back, no question!

the steaks were good but not great. they were cooked well but needed a little more seasoning. the sides were good...especially the hash browns. it was also a huge serving. the pecan pie was disappointing. i'm from the south and the pecans did not go all the way through the pie which created an overly sweet pie. overall, the experience was good but it is fairly expensive for what you get. lastly, eric was wonderful as he greeted us at the door and the service was great.

the steaks are good but for the price i was a little disappointed. dinner was around $200 for 2 people so i had high expectations to start. service was great, good local wine list, great sides and desserts. all in all a worthwhile place but be prepared to drop some dough!

fantastic all around experience - famous for steaks but the apps and sides are remarkable as well.
