the clay cafe has long been one of those places where you could let your creative edge - or disability - shine. if you haven't been here in a while, you might not realize that they have changed location and up sized their operation - something a diehard fan might not appreciate. the cafe, however, is a place where you can have a tremendous amount of fun with friends and family while also enjoying a delicious meal throughout the day. i had their english breakfast, as well as their hot chocolate - which were both delicious. the presentation is perfect for the creative environment, and the quality of food matches. their prices are not excessive, and the service is relaxed, friendly and helpful. i highly recommend coming here.

if this review was based purely on the food, i would score it a 3. i had a cappuccino and a burger. the coffee is truth coffee and sadly i'm not a big fan, i find it a little overrated. my burger was good, not the best but it was tasty and satisfied the hunger after a few hours of fun. for me, clay cafe was about being creative and having fun with friends. i love their concept and can't wait to go back. it's not somewhere i would go all the way out to eat but i will definitely go back in 3 weeks time when my salad bowl has been glazed to do some more painting and maybe have some cake and a milkshake.

this place is lovely, and the new venue is truly rather wonderful. it would be super rad to have some more vegetarian/ vegan options on the menu, though.

been here twice. the salads are delicious but it’s a pity they have different salad dressings now. the waiters are friendly and helpful and attentive. the experience is what really counts here - the views, painting and being outdoors.

bad service. the guy was down right rude. we called before hand and asked if there was a table available and the answer was yes... said we'll be there in 20 min. 20min later we arrive and his just plain rude telling us that they don't take phone reservations but we were told to drive through and if there are tables available we only have an hour to paint... hello we only wanted to paint for a half hour but looks like our money isint good enough. then why tell us to come to turn us down in a rude way. pathetic

perfect place to let your creative juices flow. we had breakfast and while having the food, we were making these beautiful dishes colourful with paint. value for money. perfect for children.

really nice family-friendly place. beautiful view of the mountain and plenty of activities to keep the kids (of all ages) entertained.

can get very busy, so a little bit of patience is needed sometimes.

lovely concept and food. had a wonderful time creating my clay bowel. owner/manger wasn’t too pleasant and made a unfriendly comment towards me right before i left. other than that, had a lovely time.

i had lunch at the clay cafe on a beautiful summers day a while ago and i love the concept of the place, being able to paint whilst eating.the margherita i had was good and the service not too bad either.

what a cool concept, painting ceramics while feeding your face off hand painted ceramics! the coffee is great and the food of a high standard. worried about waiting for food? .... paint ! i really enjoyed the setting and the “zen moment” you get from just letting your imagination go wild. now to wait 3.5weeks for the final product to emerge from their oven.

spent the morning at the clay cafe and had some breakfast as well. my partner opted for a full breakfast and i opted for a scrambled egg and mushroom croissant. both my partner and i agreed the breakfast was very tasty. others at our table opted for smashed avo on sourdough bread with salmon and a chicken and mayo sandwich. nabbed a piece of salmon to taste and was extremely fresh and tasty. the restaurant accommodates for halaal requirements.

nice grounds for moms and tots as there is a nice kiddies play area as well as a big open garden.

service was a bit off as our waitress got 2 orders wrong however this was rectified swiftly.

lovely afternoon spent here with friends. i had the cheese burger with fries and salad and the rest of the table opted for all different types of paninis.

the burger is ok. asked for it medium, received it well done though. it lacks seasoning and overall flavour. but the bun is sooo good - basically a ciabatta hamburger bun. the panini's are way better and will definitely opt for that next time.

i ordered the brownie with coffee after lunch. i prefer my brownies with gluten.. it's not bad, but could be fluffier and gooier. the coffee is served lukewarm and not strong enough.

come here for the experience, not the food.

love the new space! i've been to the old one, which was on the small side! the new cafe is so much bigger and brighter and lots more space for kids to run around! i enjoyed beetroot juice and a gluten free brownie while i painted, they were really delicious! the service was good, a bit confusing as to whether you order at the counter or waitress! will be back to pick up my plate and for some more brownies too!
