classic diner

normaly good but this time not so much. been to the place a few times and love it, always has great staff and food; however i came in a few weeks ago with my mom for dinner on a thursday night and the service was horrible. the cook greeted us and took our drink order and brought us our drinks while the waitress stood around talking and playing on her cellphone, we were one of three tables so i expected her to be the first person to our table. she then came over and took our order, she did not introduce herself and did not seem personable at all. our food was then brought out by the cook who then asked if we needed refills as the waitress never came back to ask if we would like more to drink. she also never came by to ask how our food was. the cook removed our dirty dishes from the table instead of the waitress. the waitress never brought a check or asked if we were ready for our bill as we sat at the table with no drinks and no food. i felt like the cook was my waitress more than my actual waitress. i was very disappointed in the service we received.

breakfast. service was terrible... do not go on a tues or thur....... poor service everytime... food cold an not cooked as ordered. had to ask for coffee from the cook... was it a busy time no no... maybe 4 customers there at the time... will not return on those days again ! not first time this waitress has given bad service

great traditional diner. free coffee with meal on your first visit. owner was in house and very eager to please his customers. honestly, i felt like i was back in the those grand past decades of politeness with the service here.

family business - where everyone knows your name - true neighborhood gem!

not for us. blackened burnt breakfast potatos, sticky tables, not worth the money spent

awesome find in our neighborhood! great place for breakfast on a sunday morning. the food was fantastic and the service was excellent! they even kept my coffee full all the time, which is a rarity nowadays i think. try it! you won't be disappointed!

awesome family owned diner. husband special made the finnish pancakes for us and they were delicious! coffee was on the house for us newbees. fed 2 adults and 1 child for $20. we'll definitely return on our next vaca to va beach.

wonderful. great service everytime. dee is amazing and alex is always so happy! great food, and competitive pricing. cheaper than ihop or any other breakfast joint in the area and you get an at home feel.

what a gem. tucked away in providence square, a little hard to notice but well worth the effort. we have not had a breakfast in hampton roads to equal the offerings here.

good for breakfast. i have eaten here several times. i have not chosen to try lunch. the proces are a little high ($8 for 2 eggs, bcn, hash brns and toast) but i don't want to settle for mcd, waffle town or ihop. eggs and bacon are great. hash browns are plentiful but not tasty. service is very good.
