claim jumper restaurants

i had the worst experience i've ever had at this particular location. i can understand the long wait for the extremely overpriced drink ($20) because someone called in sick. when the warm, soggy salad with tough, not crunchy, bread for croutons came out, i had no silverware until the main course was sitting in front of me. i ordered a fillet, cooked medium, with a baked potato. it had dark red blood on top and was raw flesh inside. i new right away it wasn't right. due to being short handed, it took a little while to let them know. they took it back and turned it into charcoal. when they brought it back to me, i had taken a business call and the manager, rudely, said something about waiting for me to get off and then walked away. my steak was hard, dry, and tasted like the black stuff that you scrape off a grill and throw away. they did comp the steak that i didn't eat, but the two drinks were over $41 after tax. i didn't fault the server and tipped him well. so, after a little over an hour, i left there disappointed, hungry, and $60 gone from my wallet.

first of all let's talk about that fried zucchini!!! i could live off of it!!! great service!!! frickin beautiful restaurant and it's usually super busy on the weekend but it's worth the wait m, always!!!

the food was excellent. our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. they also have gluten free and vegan section in their menu. i would definitely eat here again if i am in the area.

we were seated in a booth. carpet underneath contained a lot of food debris and someones pocket change.
a lunchtime "15 minute wait" turned into a 43 minute wait and was knowingly handed an inop buzzer but told, "...it will be okay...its flashing & vibrating, just wait for it to stop or when it vibrates continuously" (which it already did and "lo" on device may have meant low battery??)
batter dipped zucchini spears tasted like fish; didn't bother returning them. tortilla strips served w/ artichoke dip were saturated with grease & excess salt. missing napkins & silverware when appetizers arrived & were almost done eating them when they were delivered. daughter had dental appointment afterwards, nearly arrived late to appt. we were not prepared for a 2-hour lunch at a barely mediocre restaurant.

nicely lighted restaurant, kept very clean and extremely courteous staff. food wasn't the best, but i ate it all so that should say something

chicken pot pie. yumm, large enough to share but if you don't they pack it up so the crust stays crispy for taking home to finish later. loved it, our waiter was busy but we were well taken care of.

moose head :). the decor in claim jumper makes me feel like a lumber jack ready to feast on my 4.5oz steak. (huffed and puffed)... the mostly wooden logged type feel does make you feel warm and cozy. almost like at a cabin all thats missing is grandpa's moose head on the wall. the food comes in large portions which i love. just recently i tried the chicken fried steak... it wasn't good, it was to dry and over fried. i also tried the jack chicken and that was great. i made the server aware of the chicken fried steak and they removed it from my bill. on the other side where the bar is the drinks are good i guess its hit or miss when it comes to servers i've had two good ones and some that acted as if they couldn't do anything but hangout and talk and not work. over all nice place to dine in.
