favorite restaurant in springfield. food is consistently good with good portions. i haven't been disappointed with anything i've tried there. drink menu has a good variety and the cocktails are always delicious.

i thoroughly enjoyed my visit to civil kitchen. i felt my burger was delicious and it was a great value. the beer selection was varied and interesting. the service was top-notch and friendly. and the atmosphere of the place was friendly, inviting and unhurried. there are a number of good restaurants in the springfield area and i would have no problem recommending civil kitchen as a casual place that serves interesting food at a good value.

i had dinner here the other night and really had a nice experience.  it's a casual restaurant/bar with good beer, wine and food choices.  my server said the chicken and waffles and the civil burger were two of the most popular items.  i was in the mood for fish so i tried the salmon filet and it was fantastic.   the fish was cooked just right and served atop a mound of spicy fruit salsa that just made the dish.  the potatoes were nice and hot and perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.  the steamed broccoli was very good as well.  the grenache blends are some of my favorite red wines and they had a very nice one on the list by the glass.  i was very satisfied and would highly recommend this spot.
