fives stars just for the staff and service! very friendly, accommodating, and efficient. the food was excellent, authentic, and delicious! started with the grilled octopus special and the calamari. octopus was perfect and the calamari was some of the best we’ve had in a long while (an easy dish to make yes, but tough to make outstanding, they did). for main courses went with the fettuccine mediterraneo and chicken marsala. you get huge portions and are getting something special, they clearly know quality, and care about what they serve. it was excellent all around! five stars, great place.

on valentine's day a party of twelve of us rate at ciro's and had a terrible experience. i might add i left a similar comment on yelp and it was removed after one day and not by me. we had reservations for seven thirty. we did not get our entree for over two hours. when we we complained to the manager he was very argumentative. we finally received all but one. it came 15 minutes later and the lobster in it was raw. bad service and bad food

amazing restaurant by a true italian family who love their customers and are passionate about their food as well as your dining experience! i highly recommend you try this restaurant if you're a food lover like me! i had lasagna, and it was awesome! i take family, friends and on occasion - business associates! take out is good too, if you don't feel like cooking.

good food, good prices, nice atmosphere. ciro’s ristorante italiano is a gem of a restaurant hidden in a shopping center, probably the last place you would expect to find a good italian food. italian restaurants in shopping centers most often are of the red sauce and past variety (maybe different types of pasta, but they all come with the same, tasteless red sauce).

ciro’s has a varied menu with different pastas all paired with appropriate sauces. i had the torelline all panna in a light tomato cream sauce. the sauce was excellent and the pasta was very good (the pasta was a little thick which gave it a slightly heavy texture).

ciro’s also has italian standard meat dishes (saltimbocca and scaloppini) that several in our party commented were excellent; the veal scaloppini in particular.

the restaurant is elegant, but approachable. dark paneling and warm lighting, but on my visit occupied by couples dressed for a night out as well as families with children having dinner after the work day. and both can be accomdated affordably with menu prices between $8.95 and $20.00 (most entrees are around $13 for pasta and $17 for meat).

i will visit ciro’s again, and you should too, especially if you live in close proximity. this is not a chain restaurant, thank god, so support it so you don’t lose it.

ever go to a restaurant for the very first time, have a really good meal, and then go back and be utterly disappointed? yeah, i hate that - and it happened last night. i'll admit that the time between the first visit and the second was more than a year, so there could have been major changes in anything from the suppliers to the kitchen staff, but the differences were significant. the restaurant in question is ciro ristorante in aldie, virginia, about 30 minutes from our home. we met our dear friends, david and suzanne there expecting a repeat of the very nice experience we had more than a year ago. things started out well enough when we were greeted by the owner who personally seated us and spent time talking with us. the restaurant is clearly family owned and run. my first course was the juliano salad, described on the menu as mixed greens with walnuts, goat cheese, crispy pancetta and black berries in a house balsamic. well, all the ingredients were there, but the blackberries had n

new york in aldie.... great place! best ny pizza in dulles. great italian food in general, with a nice atmosphere and wonderfully attentive wait staff. this is a real gem, i can't believe i just discovered it only a mile from my house!
