he and marv got bacon cheeseburgers and fries and for around the cost of fast food but with a home cooked taste. kyle also had a pie of apple pie and said it was delicious. i hate making pie crusts so he has never had “mom’s” home baked apple pie to compare it to, but liked it better than the store bought ones he has had.

our experience was on a busy saturday morning. took awhile to get a seat. food was pretty good; traditional fare. certainly a neighborhood diner feel where the staff is very casual in their dress and interaction with guests. for some it will feel unprofessional, but i believe that's just what this place is - take it or leave it. with the high traffic and banter between the employees, it was on the noisier side. they also offer cake donuts; different maybe, but nothing special. i'll probably opt to eat elsewhere in the future but would encourage folks to try it at least once. it's a fort wayne rite of passage.

great little place. not fancy but a great atmosphere if that's what you like. omelette was great but you could tell it was cooked with the bare minimum amount of time as the cheese was in one area and the ham in another. not proportional. still great quick place.

went there for breakfast. i enjoyed the atmosphere of the diner. the food very was basic, nothing special about the omelette. coffee was bland. i would go elsewhere for breakfast downtown.

i had breakfast at the recommendation of the hotel. the diner is small so there was a small waiting line. the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. good was very good. price was also very reasonable. i'm going back.

good food & pretty fast service. unlike the previous reviewer, i've had good food and good service each time- been there about 8 times now, most of the time when all seats are full. vanilla milkshakes out of this world, great breakfasts with lots of crispy bacon, good coffee.
note to those considering eating here- you're gonna be close to your fellow man whether you want to be or not. the diner is an authentic trailer-type place, with twelve stools lined up tightly at the counter right on the other side of the grill. in that vein, be prepared to hear all conversations- even some you may not personally like.
i find it different & much more enjoyable than eating at a chain, and appreciate the authenticity of the place.

feel like i'm the movie silent hill here. as soon as i walk into cindy's durning lunch i feel like i'm in the movie silent hill. it's real dim in there at times, real old place without much color. one guy does the cooking and he does pretty good at it, but gets old hearing all his old war stories.

the food is good, takes awhile because the place gets busy and he is only one man. he likes to pause alot and talk while they are busy. take out a few hours of your day to eat here because it takes time. no parking so find a meter and walk 6 blocks or simply go elsewhere.

fun time ( ! ). there is a bathroom on one side of the trailer.
diners, including me, could hear it on the other side.
a few lost it and left, opening three seats.

now you know why they have music playing.

it's like having grandpa cook for you. actually, he is the cook. what a great place!

classic!. this place is a classic and a must visit in fort wayne. i took all of the guys in my wedding party here the morning of my wedding and everyone loved the little diner feeling and the food. brat and grandpa make this place feel like home!

nostalgia. fun place and good food. son and his wife took us out-of-towners there one afternoon. we were surprised and delighted at the atmosphere and the quality of the food. would like to return. try the old time counter 'juke boxes'. great old time songs. service was good also.

awesome diner. ok, so parking is somewhat challenging, being downtown... and the place only sits a small handful of people. yet, that is all part of the charm of the place - plus, the food is very good; lol, as the other reviewers stated, must try the garbage - excellent. have brought many people here, and all have enjoyed. good eats!

great place for breakfast. awesome place... great food (go for the "garbage" -- good stuff)... the personality of the employees is the best part.. they're personable, "wittie", and fun.

highly reccommend the dish called garbage. yes, i said garbage. it's one of the best breakfast dish you ever have. they're only open until about 2 pm.
