chosun galbi

it was midnight when i went there with my boyfriend. since i was craving for samgyeopsal and i have heard some good reviews from them. and they are close to our office, i chose to go there. there are no other people inside when we arrive there and a little bit dark. but it said it was open.

we are hesitating to enter since it's dark though it said open. we can see a lot of servers there talking and sitting down. when they saw us, they are just looking at us and not trying to entertain and tell us to come in, since it is obvious in our faces that we are hesitating to enter. it seems filipino customers are not welcome in this restaurant and not rich people also. since we are wearing uniform that time so we don't look expensive cutomers. i don't recommend this restaurant at all.

2nd time around at chosun because why not?

one factor that is different from this branch compared to the one that’s in lahug is that, they have more private rooms and the place is much wider. but the taste of the product is just the same. yumyum! 🥰

ate here with my friends. arrived at 11 am and they accommodated us accordingly. they have 3 private rooms that can host a group of friends. although their side-dishes are only limited to up to 2 refills regardless of how many your orders are. i’d advice not to order everything at once so they will not go stingy on your side-dishes.

very spacious restaurant. i love korean bbq, and the usual side dishes. this one is not bad, but not the best either. i would prefer marinated meat, than the simply seasoned ones. very tidy place, but it’s easy for the staff’s hair preparing the food to fall into the dish; as they don’t cover. overall it’s not a bad place to dine.

another korean resto that became one of my favorites. yay! they serve aloooooot of side dishes that we couldn't even finish. hahaha but their kimchi is one of the bests - it tastes really fresh. they have so many veggies and i bet they're not tihik in serving squids. i'm not a fan of squids, but i could eat a few when i'm here bec it tastes really really good. 👌 the place is also well-ventilated. they've got spacious private rooms as you request.

ang sarap ng fried chicken nila. ibang klase! napaka crispy and affordable for php 600 you get a basket of korean style fried chicken. includes free two cups of rice and sides ( like kimchi).

limited parking space though but if you’re taking an uber/grab it’s fine. not as well maintained but the food makes a whole lot of difference.

we were looking for a korean place nearby and found this place in zomato. at first, i wasnt impressed by the exterior looks of the place. it looked quite plain and no korean feels to it. looking at the menu, the prices were reasonable for korean food. it wasnt that expensive nor too cheap. however, we had to wait for almost 30 minutes for our food to be served and at that time there were only a few customers.

surprisingly, their food was great! it has a authentic korean taste and they had large servings that could really fill you up. their side dishes were complete! and their kimchi was noteworthy, it was fresh and crunchy. the meat that was used were properly marinated and cooked well.

overall, i was really happy with the food and now its my go-to korean place in cebu. the place could really use some decorations just to add a korean feels to the place.

my friend and i went there for a late lunch as we were craving for some korean bbq. it was my first time trying out korean bbq restaurants in cebu. the food and service in chosun galbi were great. i just wish they would add more to their menu such tteokbokki, pajeon, etc.

one of the decent and go-to places should you want to satisfy your korean food cravings.

the place was clean, organized, and the staff was very efficient.

the restaurant is located along cebu's korean and japanese stretch of a.s. fortuna street, where other restaurants of the same kind are located.

craving for korean food? chosun galbi is your go to place. they have variety of delicious food on their menu. the samgyeopsal, galbi, kimchi jjigae and their lunch set was my fave. i also tried the other food on the menu but i forgot the name :( the food here was actually great! the service was fast and the staff were attentive. the place? well, it's clean and has a wide space. i've been here several times before and will come back again~

my husband worked in south korea for 2 years and when in cebu we always come back to chosun galbi to have a dose of authentic korean food goodness! upon walking through that door the korean owner of the restaurant will greet you and sometimes even usher you to your seat. its like travelling to korea and sitting in a traditional restaurant in their country with the lighting, marble tables the private sitting rooms and the overall homey ambiance. 

when we say authentic korean food its really authentic, while dining we had a chat with the staff and asked about the chef and they said the owner itself does the sauces and spices for the food and the chef just assembles it and its super good! our staple is the yukgaejang (spicy beef and vegetable soup) its a must try oh and i must say you can request how spicy you want it to be and its served very hot and its sizzling the serving is good for 2 persons. dak bokkeum tang ( spicy chicken stew) is the 2nd dish we ordered and its good for 6-8 people and is massive!  they finished the simmering on our table with the burner itself. the chicken is very tender and  potatoes & carrots are soft to perfection. they also serve you bon chon for free (side dishes mostly fermented) normally different forms of kimchi and seafood(clams, dried octopus) , sweet peanuts and fruit salad you can also refill it by the way you just need to request it. ps: korean ice cream (ex: melona) are also available
they dont offer korean rolls (kimbap etc) oh i hope they do in the future!the service they have there is amazing and very quick, the staff are polite and very helpful the place is filled with locals (20%) and foreigners( koreans 50% and westeners 30%) most of the time. 
amazing food! will definitely comeback and we highly recommend this place to everyone!
