...he mixed soondubu, which has a mix of meats and seafood. justice went with the bacon soondubu. our meal came with one deep fried fish and 6 dishes of banchan. everything was yummy. i’ve never been to a korean restaurant in canada that served a whole deep fried fish with my order of soondubu. ...

tofu houses are showing up all over la area. healthy at face value and cheap in price. don't get scared by the dead flesh odor when you walk in. that's the fermented goodness you're about to eat.

korean family style delicousness. when you come into cho dang tofu, it has a traditional korean country scene on the walls. you are greeted by a waitress to a table and handed a menu. surprisingly the amount of food you get for the price is substantial. the restaurant is filled with young and old, korean and people of all kinds of ethniciities enjoying their bowls of simmering soups filled with beef, dumplings, seafood or tofu.

we order a few dishes to try to include spicy tofu soup and marinated beef. we got rice and peas cooked in earthen ware, fried fish, kimchee, pickled assortment, with all the accoutrements you would expect to see served as sides to go with your rice, soup or noodle entree. my favorites of the sides was the cucumber kimchee which was spicy and crunchy and a mix of cabbage, mayonaise and apples.

we had tradtional tea, which after eating the rice was poured into the earthware to losen the last of the rice that had clung to the walls. the food was stellar, the service was nice and the bill was not painful. a must go to and we will be back soon.
