hit and miss. me and my husband decided to pop in for the first time last week. overall, it was a hit and miss experience. the restaurant itself is in a bit of an odd location, attached to the holiday inn, and not easily accessible or visible from the street.
the one thing i can say is service was excellent, our server was very nice and very quick with refills, checking on us, etc. from the lounge and decor it looks like they are trying to be a bit of a nicer, cactus club type place, but it looked to me like they only went part way on the effort; we chose to sit in the dining room, while i liked the nice candles, the carpet looked old, stained and had crumbs all over, and we could also see into the kitchen, which also did not look particularly inviting. the only bathroom was the hotel bathroom outside the restaurant. i know the restaurant is more new but i was also surprised to see we were one of only a couple of tables there at 6pm.
the food itself was decent but nothing to write home about. we started with the nachos, which were large but poorly made, the kind where you get lots of chips but a only a tiny sprinkling of cheese on top. husband had one of the burgers, it was huge if you like that kind of thing, and he said it was pretty good. i chose the tandoori pizza, which only comes in one size sadly, and it was also alright, typical pizza. i found the prices to be a little on the expensive side for what was offered, again i guess it's the "type" they are going for.
overall, it seems like an okay place at best, the service seemed to be the only 'wow' impression i got.
