absolutely hated it.. menu description of the food sounded tasty but the food was anything but that. i ordered the curry chicken which was extremely bland my wife had the drunken angel which looked drunk person cooked. my wife said the dish was alright at best. the cocnut pumpkin soup was that was probably okay but the one thing they had going was the mango cheescake. that was tasty. i don't think i will be back

simple stroll to chili's from our inn. we had there once for lunch and after that on sunday for supper. sit it the bar on sunday's for their great decision and economical hors d'oeuvre menu. the sustenance was incredible the two times.

for $12 my wife and i got a chilly cheese dog, a brat, and a large fry. can't say it's the best dog i ever had (try packo's in toledo), but decent grub for the price.

the place was crazy busy, but we worked the system out pretty easily.

the happy hour specials leave something to be desired but the martinis are reasonably priced $8 and good. the food is asian fusion which i'm never a fan of because it always seems to mean americanized version of something really awesome but their food is ok. the lobster ragoons, crab cakes and short rib sandwich are all solid menu choices. the best part about chant is the live jazz band that plays on the weekends!

that service there sucks but the food was tasty but because the service was horrible i did not or could not enjoy. took the food to go didn't see the band or live music the waitress sucks big time and that's who sets the atmosphere. no returns for us maybe we will try online ordering at a later date

i had visited this place in recent past as i was staying in hyde park..hyatt place so just checked and found this as a great place...they have grrat variety in the menu and ambience is great....along with this staff is very smart and provide superfast service ...i went there on saturday nigjt it was house full.....we were two and waited for 15 minutes to get our table...the atmoshpere inside is really great as live performance was going on....we ordered henieken and fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes...in first round....we found this place so happening.(bit noisy)..crowd is so great everyone enjoying the music and supportive for the performer by clapping and tapping foot....we really enjoyed every single second spent there....if one would be in hyde park area....this place is must to visit specially in weekends...
thanks.team.chant for your hospitality...all the best..

overall, my brunch was a great experience and i enjoyed meeting chef hora and some of the other integral members of the chant team. i look forward to see what else is to come for chant and my own journey through the food blogosphere.

upon hearing about the special of the day, which was roasted asparagus topped by an over easy egg and hollandaise sauce, brandy insisted on trying it. the hollandaise was lovely and buttery, which went very well with the crisp vegetation. the table had to fall to scraping the plate with their forks to collect all of the delicious sauce, as there was nothing to sop it up with.

i was thrilled when i received an email from chef chris hora , the executive chef at chant in hyde park. it was an invitation to a blogger brunch event last sunday :: blogger bloody mary bowie birthday bash brunch ~ i have to say to the name is quite the mouthful. from what i've gathered: o1 | chant focuses on asian fusion cuisine. o2 | chef hora has been recently appointed as the executive chef at chant just last september, arriving from la. o3 | that chris hora starred in a food network show called chef hunter . i watch food network almost religiously! and to be invited to an event by someone who was on a food network show...i mean, how exciting is that?!

i've been back to chant a few times and the food was good (not the best thai i've ever had, but still very good.) not sure why the one reviewer thought food was bad. have been w/ did people and we all had good dishes. pad thai is good, as are staple thai dishes. salads are big, best value. wait staff gas always been professional, solid each time i've been there. decent decor--which is sorely needed in hyde park. tired of homely looking, rag tag (other) restaurants in hp. so this place is refreshing. a bit pricier than other hydepark thai spots. but it's nice not to eat in a place that looks like a dive. good for lunch.
