i think the ratings here do not reflect what chat house has to offer and specially to us .. who live far away .. in a place deprived of indian street food :)
so, it was a trip like we always do in a few months .. of roaming around here and there exploring a city and some time dedicated to indian groceries shopping ..
surprisingly, we made 2 trips to the market complex in 2 days, to the grocery store adjacent to chat house.. and both the times we dined here ..
the first time .. a lot of things .. the second a few .. but got a few things parcelled for our friends in spokane and a few sweets as well.
here is how -
samosa - loved them, i like to compare apples to apples, thus wouldn't like my comparison to move to india and how great samosas are there and what not .. they were lovely in their capacity and presented as well.
mango lassi - lassi is a sweetened yogurt drink in india, mango flavour and it is mango lassi .. well it was nice as well :)
the gobhi parantha - must confess, i was impressed by the sheer size of it .. and then when it tasted quite good.. i became mighty impressed by the might of it .. :d
the noodles (veg) - not as good as we had in portland at a lump sum similar place but yeah not bad either.
chole bhature - chole = chickpeas .. bhature = (health conscious please do not read) - deep fried bread of sorts .. had a bite and the chole were very good .. bhature just alright.
the other thing which was so good was the besan laddoo (gram flour sweet), loves them and did she sing praises every time she had a bite .. couldn't be more pleased with that :)
no qualms about the service and all .. given how crowded it was ..
all in all, we loved every bit of our time here and every bite of the food from here .. 4.5 stars nothing less
