central market cafe

the food has never let me down. breakfast tacos, burger, veggie burger, and pizza are a solid 4 out of 5. the restrooms and service however leave much to be desired. hopefully things change for the better.

waied to place order while rude clerk talked on the phone with her friend. did not say thanks after i placed my order went to sit down and 5 tables still had dishes on then while 7 employees were eating. i feel like i was at an employee cafe than a public restaurant. 930am march 9 2013

good food.... and love to eat before i shop - cuts down on the impulse, sweet, fattening buys....

ordered the grilled tilapia salad. healthy bed of greens. enjoyed the added avocado and dressing. paired with a glass of viognier. wonderful.

not the same.. lourdes and i used to come here quite often whenever we were going to or from dfw airport. we have not been here in a couple of years though. we happened to be going to the costco in southlake and decided to stop here for lunch. i ordered the mongolian beef and lourdes had the fish taco. my mongolian beef was good, not totally filling. the fish taco was more batter than fish and the taco was soggy. overall not a satisfying lunch! i admit i was still hungry when we left. at costco, i kept hitting all the free samplers serving food. later we went to the twisted root burger co. in roanoke to satisfy my hunger.

yes!. i love everything about the cafe. it has the coolest buzzer system. however, don't order if you're not prepared to wait. the food is prepared fresh, so it takes a while. really good sandwiches, pasta, chips, fries, grilled cheese, mac and cheese. it's just got the whole 9 yards.

best breakfast in sl. don't pass up cm for breakfast. migas, breakfast taco's, eggs any way you want them and the portions will feed 2. you can grab a latte, exotic or reg joe at the coffee station as well.

i have eaten here a handful of time and it has always been really good. i do believe it is a good value and i appreciate the tuesday kids eat free night. i love the playground too. i have had the burgers, fries, chicken, salads and have never been disappointed. one thing that shocked me was that when i needed barbecue sauce as a side they served me a very delicious barbecue sauce but it was cold and not warm. yuck! they need to fix that and serve it warm. their fries are amazing!!!! some of the best fries i have ever had.
**updated 6/2/11 i still love this place and it is one of my favorite casual places to lunch or dinner. best daily specials around. i had a chicken sandwich today and asked for barbecue sauce and they gave it to me cold. i asked them to warm it and they did so i was glad they had a way to warm it. wish we have a cm cafe closer. good stuff!!!

i love southlake as my dream home. i have been a member of the mansfield chamber of commerce for 10 years and operate a local business referral directory southlaketexasonline.central market cafe is one of the best things about southlake. i live in mansfield, texas though and we do not have a health food store here at all. every time im in southlake i look forward to shopping at central market and eating healthy food at the cafe.
i finished my new years eve work day around 6pm and headed to central market. as always i was greeted at the door by the super nice and friendly community relations staff. after some good chatting i headed over to the cafe and ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. it's a good think real meat patty and loaded with fresh vegetables, cheddar cheese and fresh bread. i love cheeseburgers and they cover all 4 basic food groups when made properly. the central market cafe is really the best burger, just like all the healthy and tasty foods on the menu.
after enjoying my cheeseburger i did a little new years eve shopping and headed home to get ready to party in the new year. im already thinking about my visit to the southlake central market and the cafe. this is saying a lot for a 45 year guy that drove to the dallas whole foods for 20 years before there was ever a heath food grocery store in tarrant county.

kid haven. we take the kids all the time so they can play on the playground. i usually order a chicken sandwich, and it is consistently good. we had brunch there once quite a few months back, and i still think about the delectable tamatillo salsa that came with the migas.

great casual place. this is a great place for a mid-week casual dinner or lunch any day. the specials are always fresh and delicious. the wraps are also a winner. salads are large and full of wonderful fresh ingredients. if you have kids, it is a great place to take them to play outside while you kick back with a glass of wine or beer and enjoy the day or evening. live music most weekends which is also fun.

new menu - improvement. specials are usually good. two favorites are char sui chicken wrap and beef shawarma wrap. the kids love the chicken tenders. an extra bonus, in good weather, this is the perfect place if you have kids. you can sit back and enjoy your meal while your kids run around on the playground. the kids also enjoy the live music outdoors on the weekends in the spring/summer/fall.
