great spot just across jw marriott . wide range of drinks and amazing service . didn’t try their food yet but will do soon and give back my feedback .

update: i had lunch here and the pulled chicken club sandwich is very good. they also have a room for private parties.

cedar door is sort of a hidden gem. they have a nice sized outdoor patio with wooden benches/booths and iron seating. they're known for their mexican martinis - a must try. the food portions are very large and the food it tasty. the chicken sandwich was nicely seasoned. they also have a great drink menu. street parking available along with lunch specials.

other members of my party ordered the blackened catfish and the mahi tacos. they both liked there dishes and were as impressed as i was by the food. the service was great on this visit as well and our waitress was well versed on the menu items when making recommendations and answering questions. if you are in the downtown austin area and looking for a patio to grab a bite to eat, i recommend you try this place.

stumbled on this place because it was close to my hotel. really enjoyed the white wings and the chicken fried steak with bacon braised collard greens.

the cedar door is a favorite for game watching parties at the bar (perfect for the upcoming nba finals) or conservation out of the spacious covered patio. order a  mexican martini  or even purchase the popular mix so that you can make one for yourself.

good burger. went recently with late-night group of three and found the staff to be very friendly, even close to closing. the burgers were very good and cooked to order. fries were also good. would like tor return to try more.

delicious sandwich!. we came late after flying in from the midwest. at first we were a bit disappointed that they weren't serving their full menu...until i saw the prime rib sandwich. it was absolutely fantastic between the tender sandwich and the side of homemade potato chips. well done!

loved it! we sat outside on their really nice deck. we had white wings and pork tinga taco plates. they both were very good and the price was good too!

agressively average. cedar door was a complete waste of time.
as tourists, we were hoping to find some good tex-mex, which this restaurant is filed under. wrong.
there are maybe 5 entree options on the menu - cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, turkey sandwich, blah blah snoooooze. the menu's claim that the cheeseburger would make your tongue slap your brain something-or-other were incredibly far off. it was nothing special and had tomatoes on top and below the meat. uh, what?!
boring restaurant, boring food, yuck yuck yuck.

awesome new menu!. my office and i have been stopping in for lunch and keeping come back for their regular menu and the newer blue plate specials.

very fresh food and friendly service. don't be discouraged about all of the street construction, it's worth the effort to find parking!
