great steakhouse. your steak is always prepared exactly as ordered. good food and friendly staff.

lovely food. know what to expect and good quality. we ordered kingklip and sirloin with chili butter. side salad needs some work, otherwise lekker!

cattle baron is always a good choice if you are looking for a good dinner and this is one of the best i have been too. good service and great food. the restaurant itself is not the prettiest of cattle barons restaurants but it does the job.

haven't been here for a while and was glad to see that the quality and service were still excellent. i had the chicken snitzel and another couple had the surf and turf with prawns and calamari. everyone was happy with their food. will definitely go back.

please book to avoid disappointment.
what can one say. firstly if your going to say the place is expensive then i suggest you do not visit.

let's start by the waiter who assisted us.
timothy was attentive fast and efficient. i suggest you ask for him.smooth service throughout our entire evening.

the majority of us had the madagascar pepper fillet. the meat was tender and cooked to perfection.
this atmosphere is more for the older generation.

i feel the place can be lighten up.its quite dark inside.

the service is superb everyone is friendly.
i would visit again.not to bad for a steakhouse.

i'm not a big fan of steak ranches, since i'm more of the eat a sandwich kind of person, but cattle baron has never left me wanting a sandwich instead. the staff are friendly and the food are always amazing.
it's a great place to go as a family and just enjoy the night.

i found it to be over priced and not that great in taste. rather head off to a real steak house and order a real meal. but the ambiance there is nice and service is nice.

not the prettiest of restaurants, but the food really makes up for it. the staff is really friendly, though not superbly well informed on some more specialized menu items. the food really was magnificent though. i had the 600g sirloin on the bone and it was truly something special. perfectly prepared with a great béarnaise sauce. my wife had the vegetarian platter (yup, being a steakhouse it does sound strange) but believe you me...really really good food!! all in all we had a great evening. would love if they could fix up the interior a bit, but that's something small.

we phoned ahead and upon arrival were glad we did, because the restaurant was packed. i had the pepper fillet madagascar and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. the steak was incredibly tender and i actually think it was the first time i've been served my meal on a hot plate, which was lovely to have hot chips till the end. mains are served with creamy spinach and butternut, bonus!  our waitress was efficient and service good. she just gave me a take away container with butternut instead of my leftover steak.

walking into the cattle barron, after about 4 years since my last visit, i was slightly amused at how it still looked exactly the same. they are definitely not at the forefront when it comes to innovation and trends. our table ordered 3 different meals. all were good, but nothing exiting that made me want to visit again. i imagine that people like this restaurant because it is cozy, quiet in some spots, and you know exactly what to expect. standard food, good portions, at high prices.

been there a few days ago for the lunch buffet, good food and i especially like the fish and lamb! great price, special price for seniors, don't miss that!

service wasn't bad.just slow.food took very long and when we got it there was ingredients missing on the chicken dish and both steaks was over done by far and the manager was adamant the it was right.
i never knew that rare and well done looked the same.
good onion rings.

very nice restaurant and the food was good. waiter was a bit m.i.a and although someone at the table swopped their starch for a salad and we ordered an extra portion of onion rings, neither ever came.

been bere a few times. even though its way out of our area its always worth the drive. great look and feel to this branch. spacious and not as noisy as the constantia and tokai branches. food is good and so is the service.
