not worth the visit. hmmm.
cold - asked them to turn down the air - didn't happen. asked again... didn't happen. took 4 times. food: assorted app plate - really good. home made ravioli - couldn't eat it - too salty. meats - 3 other adults.. too salty. way way too salty. i sent my ravioli back and got the app as an entree - risotto balls - really good. for the money - no way. not worth it at all. service? not great. my advice? - don't bother. mary ball

poor management. we had a reservation or 7 guest. upon arrival, we were seated and served by a very nice server. 3 out of the 7 entrees came out cold. the follow-up from the waitress was very slow. we did address the waitress and she sent over the so called "manager." he was unprofessional and argumentative. i asked him to leave our table. the owner seemed to be intoxicated so we left. i would not recommend this establishment.

fantastic.. first & only time there was shortly after the re-opening due to fire. the dinner was fantastic. quiet romantic setting, modern tasteful & pleasing decor. out waiter was just slightly unpolished (wine recommendation was a little off) but new the menu very well. the food was absolutely delicious & portions were appropriate - not overwhelming. the dinner for the two of us was $130 with a bottle of wine & tip - well worth the occasional special dinner in my opinion. the quality & setting are equal to anything that might be in alexenadria or dc. i highly recommend carmellos.

an expensive diner ..... few years ago we liked this restaurant, after their renovation and change of menus and business concept, it became an expensive diner, very tasteless decoration, bad food, slow service.

i do not recommend this restaurant anymore. do not waste your money.

great for a date or special occassion. i've been here twice. it's not my favorite restaurant, but the service is friendly, ingredients taste fresh, good seasoning and flavors. it can be somewhat expensive, esp if you add wine or an appetizer. i would recommend it for a date or special occassion.

great food. dress for the occasion. wonderful service, and freaky odd but wonderful food.
