lunch overlook, have the fish taco. we went for lunch on an anniversary weekend. we didn't stay at this hotel but thought we'd try it out for the veiw. we sat inside, as outside was too wet so we couldn't see anything until we left. we used a restaurant coupon and saved $25. the lunch we had was spectacular. have the half of salad order and soup or the fish tacos. they are the best tacos i've ever had. i had to take one home and eat it the next day they we so big, and it was just as good the next day. three kinds of fish and a great sauce. it comes with fries or a salad and a hot roll. my husband had the cioppino which he liked very much. the service was pleasant but ours was a little slow.

great view, ok food, high prices. i would say this restaurant would be known for the view for the most part. the views are astonishing. the food here is just ok, nothing out of the ordinary. i believe that there are better places that serve breakfast and lunch especially for the price. california market does not open for dinner. to get to this place from carmel it is about a 10 minute drive. the only thing to be aware is when you leave this establishment you have to be careful of the blind curve where cars are coming at you. just be cautious. i would give this a 3/5 just because of the view.

overall the food was great, the view was stunning, and the price tag matched it, especially with a 16 dollar glass of rombauer chard – which while drinking reminded me of how much i hate buttery chardonnays, yuck.

the ever-changing breakfast menu might include the full flavored eggs benedict and belgian waffles while the lunch menu might include the hearty clam chowder, fresh halibut sandwich and the full-flavored portabella mushroom sandwich.

awesome california coast views!!!. the food is fabulous; tasty, creative and pricey. the service is friendly, efficient and just fine. but you need to take in the views and ambiance. earthy relaxed feeling is perfect. on a warm sunny day sitting on the outside deck enjoying the aromas of the forest and coast views is heaven.
