i love neighborhood cafes with excellent sandwiches, great ambiance, and other cool surprises, like mini cupcakes , pretzel bread , or the most awesome vanilla loaf ever . cafe luna is not too far from my work place, and i just can't believe it's taken me

best brunch i’ve ever had in boston! the lobster benedict is great!! although the cinnamon roll looks just like cinnamon toast, it tastes amazing! it was so busy on sunday so we can only seat at the bar. would love to come here next time for the outdoor seats!

before saying anything, i'd like to give a special shoutout to the kind man who asked us to call him "honey butter" who gave us 4 honey butter biscuits, 2 cinnamon rolls and lemon ricotta pancakes - all on the house - just because it was one of my suitemate's birthday. what a kind soul. i also can't stop complimenting this place. what delicious food! i ordered joe's slider duo with chipotle chicken, bacon and scrambled eggs and my suitemate ordered the same but with chipotle chicken and corn beef hash and poached eggs. so filling and so savory. toasted to perfection. you could see the golden yellow toasted side just gleaming right at you. my friend ordered the belgian double waffle with nutella, strawberries and bananas and my other friend ordered it with chocolate, bananas and butter pecan. the best thing about these waffles was the richness and the freshness of the fruit. strawberries were so ripe - they were fantastic! my other friend got the raspberry stuffed french toast which i didn't personally taste but it looked really good and she said it was amazing and brought some back home. we also ordered a lobster roll egg benedict for the table and a side of western fries. everything about that was amazing. the taste, the quality of the food and just the right amount of spices and salt. we are going back here again next saturday and i can't wait!

a great place for a relaxing brunch especially after the long flight from melbourne, australia. the coffee and omelettes are great, and for the first time in my life i had a lobster omelette. this cafe deserves its reputation.

esteemed friends and guests, please join me in congratulating cafe luna for winning my best brunch in the boston area award. considering the extent of my research, this is a much-coveted and highly-respected honor.

can't decide between savory and sweet? get everything but the kitchen sink for a miraculous medley of sausage, waffles, corn beef hash, bacon, and home fries. this is brunch epitomized.

want a new england take on a classic? the lobster eggs benedict provides sweet chunks of crustacean under a delicately poached egg with asparagus and homefries.

do you wish you could just eat dessert? the nutella and banana stuffed french toast will hit the spot with just a little less guilt than eating cake for breakfast.

and drink up! the chai is spicy-sweet, and in the fall the pumpkin latte stomps this staple at starbucks.

but in all seriousness, trust me on this, people. i realize the enormity of my statement, but cafe luna just gets brunch. and i love them for it.

the place is tiny, so if you're looking to come without reservations on a weekend, try to keep your party small (which of your friends do you like the best?) and arrive just a few minutes before they open. chances are, there will be others with the same idea, but using this method i've only ever had to wait a few minutes.

cafe luna, it is my honor to present you with this bacon-shaped trophy. display it proudly, and brunch on.

sunday brunch was very tasty but be ready to be crowded in. we practically shared a table with another couple and were constantly aware of the bustling aisle. corned beef hash was excellent with two nicely poached eggs and side of grilled foccacia. the lemon - ricotta pancakes were airy but rich and topped with fresh berries and lemon curd. total bill minus tip was $42 with two non-alcoholic drinks.

cafe luna is a modestly-sized joint just a few doors down from toscanini’s, and they’ve got the basic “breakfast joint” menu down pat, with breakfast all day and a smaller lunch menu (aside from special events, they aren’t open for dinner). but there are two things that really grabbed my attention right away: the iced coffees, and several people ordering up various waffles and french toast covered with fresh berries.

when arriving at this place, it’s highly likely that they’ll quote you a long wait time so get there a little early and put your name in. after that, i’d head to life alive up the street for a detoxifying fruit & veggie juice to hold you over and clear you of your hangover before perusing boomerangs or buckaroo’s for fun finds. your table will be ready before you know it.

cafe luna is, indeed, a brunch mecca. i am still reminiscent of the lobster eggs benedict; rich egg yolks soak chunks of succulent lobster and thick, crusty english muffins - divine. don't be surprised to order a table-full; the goodies at the next table may be too tempting to resist!

amazing brunch!. four words: lemon blueberry french toast.
the lemon makes everything tangy, and prevents the sweetness from overwhelming you, and the blueberries color the dish with a vivid purple, and add a soft texture that perfectly offsets the toast. basically the best thing ever. i keep telling myself to order something else, because everything is wonderful, then i can't resist and i order the toast again.

it is obvious whenever you go to that place that the owner really cares about you, and about the food. it is clear that the restaurant is his baby. it makes for a really great atmosphere, and truly creative and wonderful food. it would be nice if there was more seating, however, particularly on saturdays and sundays. (but the fact that it is a completely overrun by people can be fun, too)

not only is the menu astonishing for such a small restaurant, but the staff is the friendliest i’ve seen. my mom was able to get us a last minute reservation because the generous owner squeezed us in, and i mean he literally squeezed us into the 30 seat establishment. once seated, our server pointed out the extensive beverage menu written in chalk behind the counter and noted their special dirty chai latte, a chai latte with an espresso shot. sold!

lunch. try the lazio-homemade turkey, lettuce, tomato and bacon on panini. the accompanying salad is a great addition. then wash it down with a strawberry smoothie!!

the best-10 stars. the past two sundays my family and i and my dog ate outside at cafe luna. the waffle was crisp, the salmon sandwich was delicious, the eggs benedict was perfect.. the cappuccino was robust; the froth was creamy. the people who work there are fantastic- friendly and helpful.
