more burgers than bbq. i'm a big barbeque fan, or should i say brisket addict. the menu here is more geared toward sandwiches, not bbq "plates". there is a bbq platter that gives you the choice of 2 meats, plus fries and a side. i only want brisket, so i order a platter with brisket & brisket as my meats. told double meat is not allowed. thought it might have been because of the day. maybe running low on brisket? no. this is their standard policy. would they stop me from ordering 2 brisket sandwiches? i was told no. apparently can order sides of meats as well, though not clearly apparent from menu.
this boggles my mind. the point of business is to sell your goods. denying a paying customer what they want, and you are able to provide, is not a solid business strategy. i had been here a few times and enjoyed their brisket, but will probably be going elsewhere for it from now on.
i ordered a burger in protest and found it ok. not great. bbq sandwich probably would have been better. my twice a week brisket binges will be bought at memphos blues from now on.
note - the wait staff were always polite and professional even in the face of my self righteous whining about the deceptiveness of not having a "no double meat" disclaimer on the menu. this edict comes from above
