burgers & brats

amazing burger. i typically avoid eating beef but this place makes me want to eat a hamburger. i typically get the road rage!

i had their "road rage" jalapeño burger with fries and a "brat stick.". the burger was at least 1/3 lb., nicely seasoned, and well done wihout being overcooked in the least - a great burger, far surpassing that of any fast food chain. the shoestring fries were "real" - no complaints there except that i prefer a thicker cut. the brat was dissappointing, though. a buck-75 for a two-inch long piece of bland sausage. i'll be coming back for the burgers, not the brats. lastly, the staff was somewhat distant, not impolite, just pre-occupied perhaps.

it's okay, but nothing to rave about.. it's a lunch-counter style burger joint and i'd rate the quality of the burgers about as good as you'll get at any major theme restaurant like "chili's", "applebee's", etc. in fact, the "bennigan's" on walnut ridge drive in irving makes a burger that i would rate as higher than this one. still, "burger's and brats" has done a good job of grilling the toppings like bacon, mushrooms, onions or garlic on the grill when you order... and the brats are a nice switch, plus they put brown mustard out on the table with the ketchup and regular yellow mustard. the fries are also comparable to what you would get at any of the major theme restaurants.

so, for about $20, two people can get a decent burger with a combo of fries and a soda. it would cost you about the same at any chili's or tgi fridays... but at least here you can avoid tipping since you order it from the counter. other than that, zero difference.

well below average. tried the place due to high ratings, but thigh burger was okish, fries were cold and greasy. barely had a place to seat and service was lacking (even for a self serve)

here's where you go when you want a perfectly cooked gourmet burger without the high price and the hassle of making the trek to one of the "twisted" enterprise locations.

go for the "road rage" you won't be disappointed!!

we order the "straight and narrow path" with american cheese, mustard, onion, pickle, tomato and lettuce. the meat is cooked on a hot flat-top which makes for nice carmelized edges... good texture.

ok came back. much nicer guys at the counter. the two young men jumped on our order and very friendly. trying the brats this time. the menu is much different than i saw on the spoon. i can't get a good pick it is a bit dark and the menu is on the wall big . they do burgers, cheese steaks, brats, chicken and salads. the brats came and wow they were hot!! good eats. guys on grill did a great job. hot german potato salad is standard and thought i would give it a run. not saying theirs is bad, i just don't like the stuff and still don't. kraut was good and spicy mustard by the drink kicked it just right. not the place i wanted it to be. i wanted a 90% wow. but i like the food and will come back for a burger next time. good lunch stop would be my take on things.

tried this place today after reading the reviews and the high rating. we got the cheese steak with mushrooms. it was ok. nothing special. kinda cheap on the meat portion wise. staff were quick enough but friendly does not come to mind. just thought the place was just average. i am going to go back and try something else, till then no vote.

very sad. i was excited to have my mom who is burger lover try burgers and brats. not sure what happened but the burgers were awful- will not be back anytime soon.

1/2 lb 100% certified angus beef never frozen, guacamole, red onions, bacon crumbles, monterey jack chees, zesty maya. i am talking about #8 southbound burger. super!!! this place not rock only. this place is heaven for burger lover!

best burgers in the town.... if you want to taste best big, juicy, high quality burgers, marinated grill chicken sandwich, brats, philly steaks, croissant turkey sandwich, chicken tenders, german potato salad...you need to visit burgers & brats, flower mound texas...we are so glad we found this place...
..strudel to take home...they will do catering for your office party, meeting...they are the best...

zer gut!. very original! stopped in to sample the fritzburger and really enjoyed it. it's not so much fusion of american and german as it is a meatloaf sandwich. the well ground patty is topped with sauerkraut, grilled onions, and swiss cheese, served on a marble rye and with a side of warm german potato salad. it really satisfied the craving for german food, but is hard to compare to other hamburgers. i'll have to go back and sample one of their others, but the fritzburger is a winner.

awful. i was craving for a good brat sausage with grilled onions and got disappointed with what i was served. a brat in small hot dog bread with a few cut up pieces of peppers and barely any onions. no selection of mustards. the places seems to be in distress. wall decor was falling apart, i will not go back.

a burger worth checking out. we have eaten at burgers and brats a few times in the last year and have really enjoyed every experience. sometimes a tasty, greasy burger hits the spot and burgers and brats definitely provides that!

huge, juicy burgers, delicious grilled chicken sandwiches, fries & more. first visit & we have already concluded it is well worth the detour off i-35. i tried the texas highway grilled chicken with guacamole, crumbled bacon & onion. delicious! table guests had burgers (thick meat hung off the bun) and ate every bite. fries were a huge hit too. looking forward to our next visit.

i was pleasantly surprised at the burgers here. was a little worried when i saw a kid squash the juice out of my burger on the grill,(why do people do that!) however the burger were real good and juicy ! wish they had red cabbage though. do not call yourself a german themed place if you dont serve it!
