burger joint - san francisco international airport

nothing special. raw onions were old, the kind you throw away at home. fries were undercooked. maybe the non-airport locations are better?

burger joint are a mini chain based in san francisco, and although the reviews seemed fairly so so i was already getting frantic not knowing when my next cheeseburger fix was going to come from. dragging (the surprisingly compliant) ewing to the food court we prepared ourselves for a final fling with some good old american meat, cheese and bread.

came to this joint for a quick stop for a hamburger. specifically asked for no onions. hamburger was loaded with onions. when i asked for a new burger the manager was very rude and with a nasty attitude asked me why i just couldn’t pick the onions off? well why couldn’t your crew have just gotten my order right?

stopped in while waiting for my airline to find my luggage. pretty good burger, especially for an airport joint. they cook their burgers to well done, so the patty was kinda dry. easily fixed by ordering your burger with grilled onions. i ordered my burger with jalapenos; unfortunately, they were jarred. fortunately, they were served on the side, so i didn't need to pick them off the burger.

perhaps the best burgers at sfo airport. i like the fact that they have several options for toppings and you can customize the burger to your taste.

spit in food. if you don't tip they spit in your food

don't trust them. hispanic cashier was so busy talking and flirting with the cooks in spanish. she couldn't be bothered to get out order correct worst asking several times. then when we wanted rom pay i had to her her attention awyfrom the flirting. she was mad when i did t tip and i saw our food disappear to the back before being served. don't eat here

i know better than to expect great service at a fast food joint, but terrible service doesn't begin to describe how awful the girl behind the counter was. after finishing flirting & playing with the cooks, she made it very clear that we were inconveniencing her by placing an order. she spoke with the cooks in spanish the entire time we were attempting to order & we had to get her attention back in order to pay for our food.
the food was okay. not the greatest philly cheesesteak i've had, but okay. no salt on the fries at all. and none to be found anywhere.

just the burger well done hit me right. tasty freshy price right

better than average for a fast food burger. friendly service. airport pricing, so no bargain here

expensive but good.. we were sad that we missed out on our in n out while in town. stopped here on our way out. these burgers are delicious. we loved them. the employees are super friendly also. very helpful and accommodating. only downside is the hit price, but what can you do, it's an airport.

great burger but staff messed up my order. french fries are okay. kind of a healthy burger. five guys... still beats eat

the airport was not very crowded, but the restaurant we wanted to eat at closed early due to the holiday, so we went to burger joint because not only was it open, the food offering looked decent. nia had the cheeseburger with salad and i had the veggie burger with fries. we shared the salad and the fries. pretty satisfying. the bottled water i got from them costs me about $4 but it was a fairly big bottle, so no complaint from me. especially since the bottle last me until i got to cr. sorry, no photos. about these ads div.wpadvert>div { margin-top: 1em; } share this: pin it like this: like one blogger likes this. posted on january 12, 2013

had the turkey burger and it wasn't too bad. im not expecting much from an airport food court. but value wise it not bad for ~$10 overall experience: barely a thumb's up

good burger. this review is based on the international airport food scale.

i will say though that, even in the outside world, this place would rate close to a four.

i had a bunch of time to kill in the airport. i was hungry. i have to say the new terminal for virgin america is pretty sweet.

out of the new restaurants in the terminal, i selected burger joint.

i quickly ordered. the counter person was very friendly and professional. after a short wait, my food was ready.

i was pleasantly surprised. the burger looked good. the condiments were very fresh. the fries looked tasty.

my double cheeseburger was a good rendition of a fat-top burger. it had the crispy sear. i would say it would be nice if they cooked to choice. mine was almost well-done and it would have been better if it had been cooked medium. the bun was a nice soft bun.

i enjoyed the thick-cut fries.

overall, it was an enjoyable burger and fries. even more so, considering it was airport food. it was pretty pricey. if i recall, my double-cheese burger was over 10 bucks. i will definitely be back though. i fly virgin american relatively often.

mmmm burgers.. great service, food good, i say it's better than fast food joints, pricier than fast food for sure but great place.
