great food. i had chicken fried steak. bigger than i expected. for four the bill was $60 with tip. also great carrot cake.

their menus online are old, $2 plus differences on even just the burger and they didn’t want to try to honor it.. attitudes were blah!

i had a terrible first time experience. they talk with an attitude, menus have so many grammar mistakes and the way it’s worded can be very confusing when you are ordering. i called to get the problem resolved and all they said was sorry and hung up on me.
the eggs i asked over medium and i get it super runny and disgusting. i’m not happy with the service or quality of the food.

i have salmon dish with veggies was good also the service wasn't bad ...tanger girl was nice ,slowly but wanna make sure got everything ok ,before get the food on a table which is always plus for customer service .....!!
i go back for more dishes to try ...

good food and service. the chicken fried steak lunch portion is more than you need and reasonably priced.

rude!. stopped by on a whim while traveling back home from dallas. our 2 teenage girls were the first inside the restaurant, as we dropped them off at the door while we parked the car...they were going to go ahead and find the restroom while waiting for the rest of the family to enter the establishment....the girls were met at the door and told immediately that they could not use their facilities without first placing an order....we, the parents were outside taking our time coming in because our son, who has autistic spectrum disorder was mesmerized by the pasture full of bulls in the back! so, we walked to the fence, counted the bulls and took a picture. in the meantime the girls exited the restaurant to find us, and they did...they told us what the person inside had told them and then immediately got caught up in the excitement of their brother and began taking a few pics of the bulls with their phones for their brother...all of a sudden a truck pulls up right next to us, parked...dark, tinted windows etc...very intimidating to say the least.....just sat there, never rolled his window down, nothing! the man just sat there staring at us like we had done something wrong!! we felt sooo unwelcomed...intimidated and embarrassed.....we got back in the car and pulled away, just to the edge of the parking lot, we sat.....waiting to see what the looming truck did next....well, guess what....nothing, just backed up to the opposite side of the restaurant and went about his business! never!!!! in all of our travels have we ever been treated soooo rudely. seriously sir!!!!!! instead of welcoing weary travelers inside, we felt as though he could not wait to run us off of his property! my advice to you mr/mrs bull pen.. build a fence around the entrance of your parking lot...post no tresspassing signs..... finally! don"t assume everyone is out to just rip you off! you missed quite a nice paying customer....good luck to you and your sour, miserable self . please change your attitude and seek jesus! you old mean thang!

don't know anything about this place but one thing i do find scary--- several of these people need to go back & take elementary school english, punctuation and grammar!!!! this country's gone to hell in a hand basket.

first time visit. my husband and i ate lunch at the bull's pen cafe today for the first time. we loved the atmosphere, staff very friendly, and the food was excellent. we both had the chicken fried steak and thought it was probably the best we've had in a long time. we were impressed with the amount of food and the lunch prices. we will definitely be going back and probably very soon.

great food! slow service. very loud. the owner has a mexican restaurant with a similar building. for some reason he decided every surface in his seating areas needed to be a hard surface. the echo is terrible and actually uncomfortable when the restaurant is full.

big daddy. bad location! bad hostess roud, horrendous manager. if i was the owner i would run and heir a new manager are you will be going out of business soon

first time dining. my hubby said chicken fried steak was the best he has had in the dallas region. my pork chops were very well done and very tasty. next time, i will tell them i want them medium. they never asked how i wanted them -- but no real complaints. the vegetables were very good, not overcooked. they pre-seasoned my potatoes, and i would have preferred to do it myself, although i did like the way they seasoned it. the service was very friendly, and the waiter was attentive. everything looked clean and neat. my husband and i will go back.

lunch. first time visit for lunch. had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, blackeyed peas and carrots with rolls for $7.99. loved everything and large portions. another table ordered the onion rings and they looked wonderful. i love the atomosphere. nice new restaurant and everything was clean. i live in forney and just discovered it off of hwy 80 and will definitely go back to try their breakfast and dinner menu.
