browns plains hotel - road house grill

cookie cutter food like all other chain road house grills... wasn't bad but not very good either i had the mixed grill it was ok but little expensive for what u get

this is seriously excellent.. fair to say we were surprised how good this was. great atmosphere and the food is seriously excellent. we've been three times now and it was excellent all three times.

the servings are plentiful and the prices are fantastic. try the bruschetta, which is some of the best i've ever had. the steaks are perfection. keep doing what you're doing roadhouse grill!

bruschetta. delicious base, fresh, and tasty. huge too! definitely a must.

not as good as last time. ate their last night having enjoyed eating their before. could not help but notice that the standard of food is slipping. salt and pepper calamari was over crumbed and lacked seasoning. the chicken wings coating was average and the accompanying sauce lacked flavour. ribs were good but the fat on the steak hadn't been rendered which resulted in big fatty bits being spat into napkins. service was good. disappointing considering how good it was last time.

left with a dentist bill. $70 for dinner, oysters for starter. large chunk of shell left from shelling cracked my tooth in half. reported my complaint to the manager her response was we cant do anything about that you should of used a fork. i replied that i did use a fork. she then said oh well theres nothing we can do.
in my eyes this is shocking customer service.

love it!. have been to the "revamped" bistro on two occasions this year. the last time was for a birthday event with 20 people attending. everyone had nothing but high praise about the food, service, atmosphere and price. very child friendly with an excellant playroom, the food is fantastic and the prices very reasonable. would recommend to anyone just for dinner or holding an event with a large group. will definately be returning again and again.

we used to love going here all the time but one night on the 14/8/2014 i asked if they were going to open anymore registers because the lineup for one register was very long the manager lady who was on duty was absolutely rude to me for asking this and did this in front of everyone else who had lined up,,i was absolutely disgusted with the way she responded to me for asking if this was possible , we had 16 people there for dinner that night and probabley spent close to $400 and i did not want to line up for what seemed like ages and miss out on all the fun at my daughters 16th birthday party , we used to go there all the time for family functions and special occasions , if i wanted to be treated like this i would have gone to the park ridge tavern , also if there was a reason why she could not open more registers she could have conveyed it a lot better , customer service is paramount to building a great business and you have now lost my custom several times a year, note - i did ring the hotel the next day to make a complaint but 2 months later i am still waiting on a call back

awesome food and service,. have been there for evening meals and lunch twice now and cannot fault the place the atmosphere and surroundings are awesome, feel like you have gone back in time. great food and great prices. would highly recommend the place to anyone. staff are very obliging and helpful.

terrible food & service staff. went here for lunch the other day, and won't be going back. i'm not a big eater so tried to order a kids sized meal after seeing their menu notes that the kids meals were suitable for kids under 12, not that only children can order. was advised by staff quite rudely that i wasn't allowed to order a children's meal and if i wanted a smaller meal to order an entree. i ordered a chicken schnitzel which was terrible i could have gone to a supermarket and bought a better schintzel. it was dry and the sauce was lumpy. the best part of the meal was the chips. wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone.

great atmosphere and very busy. you order at the counter and it is served at the table. eye fillet was perfectly cooked and mixed grill was tasty and not too greasy. we had 2 filling meals and a cheese bread for under $50. i highly recommend this place. it is better to book ahead though. drink prices are reasonable as well.

i was surprised by the quality of the food. everything was delicious and had a unique taste. had the grilled ribs and wings and it was large but it all got eaten. meals came out quick, good quality for money and the place had a nice vibe! not what i expected going out to browns plains! highly recommended.

arnold. they have done up the bistro nice our meal took nearly an hour to come out but they did give us a free drink to compensate for it taking so long.
on another note bar staff member (glenn) needs a course on how to treat customers, i don't think i have ever had such bad service from bar person.
i wont be coming back!!!!

it's a shame they changed the interior to kitschy americana but the meals are always beautiful and the outside dining is lovely, we are lucky to have it as our local.

good, but...... pub steakhouse type menu with a good selection and reasonable prices. the food was very nice and portions generous with friendly service (you order at counter and get drinks from bar so not fine dining but for a logan area pub it isn't bad). there was a mixup and my companion, who is allergic to onions (which was explained and noted when ordering) ended up with onions concealed in her salad which had some unfortunate effects later in the night. when the offending onion pieces were noticed and the staff advised they could not have been more apologetic and helpful and did what they could to fix the problem and make sure that we were looked after for the rest of the evening which is much to their credit (another restaurant made the same mistake the week before and did very little). mistakes happen but it is good when they are readily acknowledged. desserts were excellent.
