brown bag deli

very small but huge on flavor. i won a gift certificate for brown bag deli at a charity auction and it took some time for us to go. we ordered 5 different sandwiches and 2 soups. all 5 sandwiches were filled with meats, cheese, veggies and sauces. the soups were thick and hearty. i cannot decide if "the spice of life" or the "cuban" were my favorite. almost every sandwich on the board sounded amazing. due to the size of the place organization is a bit odd. i would not recommend going during a rush time like lunch or dinner because they would probably be packed . . . the food is that good.

i will be back soon to try some of the other great sounding sandwiches.

great deli sandwiches great variety of side dishes looks to change out daily and they have 3 local brands of potato chips, if you are looking a good place to get a quick light dinner brown bag deli is we're you are wanting to go

got the spice of life sandwich, freakin amazing. and they gave me a free pickle with it. say hell yeah.
and try stuff out of the glass case too, you'll be glad you did.
and last but not least, their walnut brownies are the best thing thats ever happened to me.

ps- don't get the herr's brand old bay chips they're gross. but that's not brown bags fault, that's herr's fault. just a bad idea. sick.

incredible food, great service, comfortable atmosphere, low prices. their chicken salad is wonderful! also you can bring dogs on the patio (i walk mine at schiller and we love stopping by for lunch!)

so good.. went with a group of friends, everything was delicious. tried two kinds of soups, both so so good. and everyone's food was great too. sandwich meats were tender, juicy and flavorful. bread was fantastic. the ambiance was enviting and the service was fast and friendly. this is an all around, must-go, little sandwich shop.

well looks like i won't ever be returning to katzinger's again. after trying brown bag deli for the first time, i can safely say i'll definitely be coming back here instead- cheaper and better in my opinion. i ordered the spice of life which came with corned beef, smoked turkey, roast beef, scallion cream cheese, tomato, and mustard on a french baguette. all the meats were excellent quality, very moist, and flavorful. the crusty french bread was great hot off the panini press, and the scallion cream cheese spread was out of this world. the elements of the sandwich went perfect together, and it was only $6.75 for a very good size. a free pickle with each sandwich (as it should be), friendly staff, and complimentary water which i always drink with my meal just added to the experience. i'll be stopping in here when i want to grab a quick bite in german village from now on! 
update: tried a vegetarian sandwich with cucumber, sprouts, tomato, and cream cheese. as a meat lover, this sandwich was still awesome and surprisingly filling. brown bag deli strikes gold again!

busy place always. a bit pricey sandwiches but worth it. had the jalapeño popper and it was like a grilled cheese on steroids. amazing. paired it with a small green antipasto. very good too. large selection of cold salads and lots of vegan and gluten free options

for me, the best in german village. this is where you want to go for a sandwich, soup or side. always $2.00 a sandwich less than that other deli and the sandwiches are better. like eating at your best friend's house when he/she knows exactly what you love.

brown bag has the largest variety of gourmet potato chips i have encountered outside of jungle jim’s in cincinnati. the same applies to the number of gourmet craft soda pop to choose from. if you want ice cream, you can always find a pint of jeni’s in the cold case.

thanks for being the best place to get a sandwich in the village. your tasty meats and intriguing spreads oft make my weeknights exceptional and my weekends extra special. your black & blue is great when i am tired/hungover and i need a good meal, quick... without too much thought. but when i'm feeling squirrely, i enjoy exploring your other nom-able specialty sandwiches and even creating my own sammich once in a while. your cold salads and dessert items are also a nice parlance into deliciousness on occasion. i'm told your deviled eggs are just lovely, but that's not really my thing. i do however, enjoy your multiple varieties of kettle chip bags. your prices are fair for what you get (~$7.50 a sandwich). those working your counter are always friendly and never give me guff for combining multiple 'frequent diner' cards for my free sandwich (buy 10, get 1 free). points off for your water dispenser (which is free). it dispenses water slower than i could smash the hydrogen and oxygen together myself.

i ordered the #6-a roast beef sandwich. it was absolute heaven. i also tried the redskin potato salad which was delicious. even w the black cherry soda i had was great. one down side was the creamy mushroom soup. it was big slices of mushrooms in a cream broth. i just prefer my mushroom soup a little less chunky. try this place!

best cobb salad i've ever had!. fresh and delicious - generous portions and reasonable prices. i had the 1/2 cobb salad and 1/2 pint of couscous. my husband had the black and blue sandwich on panini.
