shawarma was actually a pita.. not shwarma meat. very oily and not very tasty. also never received ice cream i ordered. eventually asked them to remove it from bill.
will say, the portion was really big for the price

you guys can be so glad to have this place,it was my regular place to eat but we moved to durban 3 years ago and i miss this place. renier and his staff are great. i will definately visit them when i am visiting pretoria.

been a regular since james and donald had the shop in jakaranda centre. i will always be back for the quality of the food. always fresh, always good. been through a variety of menus, but always good, wholesome, fresh, quality food.

what can i say? not much to write home about. food is surprisingly okay but a little on the expensive side. atmosphere and ambience is almost non existent and service is okay. menu is pretty huge for all sorts of cravings. for a typical walk past “what am i in the mood for” destination. overall average.

best place in waverley to eat. there burgers are great and love there breakfast. great atmosphere and service are great. there coffee wow. go and tray the chuck and pap love it

the food is average and so is the service. there's nothing bad about the place but also nothing great. i would probably go there again mainly because they are reasonably priced and close to where i live. but i wouldn't make an effort if they were any further away

the breakfast was good but who makes a chicken mayo with barbecue sauce? that was a total no no for me. atmosphere was a bid to quiet for me

the food is very nice once the waiter gets your order right. this has happened to us on two different occasions now. their burgers are very good.

i had a few minutes to grab coffee and a quick breakfast. i ordered the budget breakfast,the waiter had another idea ... chuck's unbeatable breakfast,i think he did not listen to me. well it would be nice to serve chuck's in a steak plate too,do some presentation or at least some garnish. good value for money. check the date on your tomatoe sauce .

initial vibe: (+) the place is pretty much always pumping and the staff are friendly. great spot to hit if it's loadshedding

food/ drinks: (+/-) undecided here as they tend to baste a lot of the food with the same brush. the burgers have become a bit bland and my last visit ended up with a bad taste in my mouth as there was a ground up piece of bone in the meat. they really do make good fries though. 

overall vibe: (+/-) got the potential to be a really great place, but the consistency is lacking.

fantastic comfort food with excellent flavour...
not much for the eye but cozy pub feel...
they always have specials to suite your pocket!

if you're into fine dining i suggest you stay away, but if you're looking to have a good time with family or friends and a good meal, this is the ideal place. the food's great, conventional, but there's nothing wrong with it. maybe not vegetarian heaven, but it's acceptable and worth it. a good, safe choice.

one of the most social restaurants you will find. when eating here it is like eating at home, except that you don't have to wash the dishes at the end of the night. truly one of the best family restaurants you will ever find.

nice place for real food. not for the faint hearted, haha. its "slap" chips and saucy ribs al the way, with a genuine soith african vibe....

brewers bbq is just great!! i've been going there for the past 10 years and i still think they have the best burgers in pretoria. my personal favorite is the monkey gland burger. (i sometimes ask for extra sauce just to make it real nice and messy ;) ) the patties they use make it what it is and a lot of gourmet burger joints can learn from it. this is a great family restaurant with rugby vibes and great food.
