very popular on a friday at 1:30. the acoustics in the main dining room were not good but fortunately the bar was quieter and had booths available. our attentive and pleasant waitress has been working there for 13 years and gave us some very good suggestions. my husband and i ordered a special - sliced tenderloin sandwich cooked to order with grilled onions, mushroom and cheese. horseradish sauce and au jus was served on the side. the meat was melt in your mouth. excellent, albeit hard to eat, sandwich. fries were good. the sandwiches were $20 a piece which is rather high. it the meat was high quality. you get what you pay for.

stopped for a business lunch and ordered a chicken caesar salad.  fresh greens, tender grilled chicken, but.....who the hell puts vinegar and oil on a caesar salad??!!  and the waitress didn't seem to know the difference.  worse was that the noise level was so high that we couldn't carry on a decent conversation.  not a place that i'd come to again for either lunch or a romantic evening meal.  highly overrated!

mediocre salad, not gluten free friendly. i went to lunch with friends and the salad was mediocre and the wait staff had no idea if any of the dressings were gluten free. very few items on the menu were gluten free, unless you left off the sauce or the sides completely. i'd like to know who thinks someone want's to go to a restaurant and pay good money to have plain grilled fish while everyone else is having a fish with caper sauce when it's so easy to use corn or potato starch in place of wheat for thickening sauces? it's absurd. i don't know about dinner, but lunch was pricey and not very good.

turkey time. i had high expectations, and considering the total tab, they should have been met. granted, it was thanksgiving, and we ordered the turkey dinner, but it was the worst turkey i've ever had. the meat was stringy and hard to chew. the stuffing had large chunks of dried bread that was impossible to break up. the steamed broccoli was bland and lacked any interest. conversely, my husband was happy with his salmon, and daughter thought the squash ravioli was excellent, but it lacked anything in terms of presentation, and came with nothing else on the plate. this was my first time there in years, and i had really high expectations. service was okay, though there were some long gaps between courses. if you want to drop a couple hundred dollars on a meal, there are better options in boulder.

hands down the best restaurant in boulder! in terms of service, experience, quality of food, and value, the cork is unmatched! it's consistent everytime i go! the restaurants on pearl street don't even compare. try it once and you'll be hooked!! it is the best!

wow!. wow is the first word that comes to mind. i went here once on a company dinner and every thing was top notch. i started out with a hendrick's martini which was perfectly prepared. we moved on to a few appetizers which were excellent. dinner for me was a filet mignon topped with a crab cake which was probably one of the best pieces of beef i've ever had. nightcap consisted of some 18yr. old scotch. if you got the bones to spend or you're looking to impress a girl, then this is the spot.
