we visited srinagar after maybe 35 years. we went for lunch sometime in nov 21. a very warm and cozy place. the staff was very friendly and courteous. we had great conversations with host. the food was great and so were the juices. we had wraps, sandwiches which were all good. will surely visit again. thank you!

personally did not like this place only for the food, otherwise, the ambiance is really nice.
i ordered for:
red sauce pasta which was bad 😔
veggie delight pizza which was okay
then a green tea and that was bad too 😔

a must place to visit with beautiful view, visiting this cafe elevated my over all experience in kashmir. we ordered pizza (hot mexican) and pasta (marinara) which was very delicious. the staff here is friendly and very nice to talk to. the ambience is surely different and a treat to eye, it stands by its name on every inch of its interior. 🙂🙂

tried below dishes:
messy paneer wrap - tasteless and expensive (3 star)
falafal humus - tasty and sufficient quantity served (4 star)
veg delight pizza - thin crust but was tasty, bit on expensive side (4 star)
chocolate shake - ordinary and not thick (3 star)

visited books & bricks cafe for dinner during our recent stay in srinagar. we wanted a break from traditional kashmiri food and the cafe was highly recommended, so we decided to go. we weren't disappointed at all!

beautifully set up and decorated, the cafe had such a nice vibe to it. was not at all crowded. we started our meal with the cream of tomato soup, which was simply heavenly. best tomato soup i've had anywhere in the world! outstanding soup, a must have! we then had the mexican spiced chicken steak. the steak was really well cooked, tasted delicious and was suitably accompanied with mashed potatoes and vegetables. the lamb burger was another top-notch dish. very juicy piece of lamb, the burger was really well made as well. crispy french fries added a good textural element! we ended our meal with a perfect cup of cappuccino, and were more than satisfied, wow, what a meal!

the staff was really courteous and also helped us with an auto-rickshaw as it was quite late at night. definitely visit the cafe during your stay in srinagar, no two thoughts about it! 😊

great breakfast place; had the shakshouka and english breakfast with coffee. everything was up-to the mark with good warm service and music to uplift the mood.

it's a lovely and warm place. the decor is excellent and filled with book pages. food and drinks were very good. we had ordered mexican chicken platter, cappuccino and hot chocolate. all was good. the wrap of meatballs and fries was too spicy and just average.

kitkat shake [5/5]: i have no words to describe its beauty! must order, it literally feels like heaven. thickness of this shake is just beyond anything. bestest kitkat shake in srinagar.

pretty cool cafe, with a very nice ambiance. the food was very good, and they had captured some really good western flavors. their brownies and desserts were especially delicious. there is slightly less seating and it can get loud.

i found this place when i was out with my gang,
it seemed like a cool place to chill and hang.
the menu had many options for us to choose,
we ordered pasta, burgers and shakes to do away with hunger blues.
the service was smooth and the food was nice,
but while eating we had to swat away the flies.
knocking off a few stars for the same cause,
though the food and service was worthy of applause.

books and bricks cafe is definitely a go to place for those who like quiet environment.it is usually less surrounded by people, but offers delicious pasta .many items on the menu usually remain unavailable that is the main area they need to improve, change the menu or make those dishes available.that is the only reason i am giving only two stars

this place used to be my go to place when it opened. there is nothing more peaceful than enjoying good food while being surrounded by the musty smell of books that all book lovers love. however my recent experiences with the place haven't been that great sadly. on a recent trip i ordered pan cakes and was left quite disappointed as they tasted more like cardboard spread with nutella. also more than half the flavours on the menu weren't even available. the fruit salad i ordered was quite fresh and filling though also i didn't mind the generous scoop of vanilla it came with.

been to books and bricks a number of times and honestly the experience has decreased each time. the first time i went there, i thought it to be one of the best cafés in kashmir. the food quality has decreased over the period of time and i would only suggest them to try a little harder.
