bombay brassier has very distinct branding style that reflects throughout its ambiance and menu. all dishes are named and presented very creatively. it's by far one of the best north indian places in bangalore.
the place has a bit of waiting on weekend evenings. other than that its quite easy to get a table.
i have been here multiple times with different groups like family, friends. it caters to all - the staff is very accommodating and friendly.
things we ordered:
1.aam papad paneer - it was fabulous on the tangy side with a kick of tamarind a good starter for vegetarians.
2. andhra chicken - dry chicken dish with sauteed onions, the masala was great tasted amazing.
3. bambaiya vada pao- they serve a limited menu during the day, so ate vada poa, two pieces come together.
4.masala chai - my father had the chai and loved it so much that ordered the same again- it comes with two rusks which adds to the surprise factor.
5.jaipur gaata kadi with rice- it's a decent dish but the gaatas overpower, the good part is that it served as a complete dish, one doesn't have to order rice separately.
6.ismali kofta biryani- they did a good job on the mutton, the flavors were great. the quantity was a lot, it can fill more than two people.
7.chur chur paratha - the paratha was absolutely tasty and crunchy- will satisfy the punjabi in you. it comes alone so you will have it order something else with it. it's definitely a must-try.
8.chatka chole kulcha- a complete dish, they kulchas were kind of plane but the cholas were well prepared.
9. tarkari masaledar- a mixed vegetable, its was ok, didn't have a very distinct taste. not recommended.
10. hyderabadi kebab bun- the dish was a play on the vegetable cutlet - flavours felt very normal
it's my go-to place for indian food. will continue to visit :)
