bombay balti - radisson blu hotel

ridicously overpriced! if u r a vegetarian don't head towards it. u will get more variety of food at other place with less price and better taste.

only good thing : it is a open sapce place so u can just enjoy surroundings as well.

enjoyed a great evening with friends, where the food and service were fantastic! the staff were accommodating to special dietary needs and really went above and beyond. i can highly recommend bombay balti for any occasion!

why i would not visit bombay balti again :
1. food should always be appealing to the eyes first - the plating was horrible . (it was like food being thrown into a plate) 
2. the nan was burned .
3. the chicken was raw inside . 
4. the whole restaurant was reeking with smoke from smokers nearby even though we had a "non smoking" table. 
5. food took awful amount of time to come .

i personally suggest you not to visit bombay balti .

ramadan promotional offer dragged our team to bombay balti and it was worth the money for the offer. promotional offer of 120 minutes i.e. unlimited draught beer and curry for a magical 199qar per person. they served curries like chicken vindaloo, lamb roganjosh, chicken tikka curry, khadi fish and beef saagwallah with butter nun and rice. taste wasn't the best but worth the grab when someone serves unlimited for 02 hours with some poppadoms and green chutney /  mayo. the beer moves in quick and steady. for the non vegetarian the option had been reduced to dal makhni and bhindi masala so wouldn't be a good deal for them. however for the non-drinkers had several mock tails that were served rigorously one after the other. staff was courteous but the kitchen service was a bit laid back. the servings were delayed and we had to wait for the food but that helped us gulp more beer and mock tails. 
hope to see some more promotions but kindly don't compromise on the quality of the food since that is what drives the people to your place for the asian delight. thank you for serving us ! cheers ..

open space restaurant with nice ambience. the place was almost full on a friday night as they serve alcohol. we ordered pudina murg, mutton hyderabadi and dal fry with tandoori roti and plain naan. all dishes were good. the lamb especially was very tender and flavorful. but the service was a bit slow. the waiter was pleasant and polite, but not helpful with menu recommendation.

the veg. options are pretty limited here. the paneer tikka was really dry. was hard to eat. food was alright, nothing great. the pulao and bread basket was fresh and good tho.

nice restaurant, good ambiance and food.

review is based on our experience at the indian food festival.
the decor was done nicely, but they could have toned down the music.
coming to the food. i would rate it as average. also they could have included a bit more variety in the food. i wouldn't say it's worth 99 riyals because of the taste and the lack of a bit more variety. the positives is that among the items offered they have kept a good portion of vegetarian food.
the sweets were good, especially the rabadi.

valet parking, good food, peaceful atmosphere and a drink (or a bloody mary sans vodka)...

visited this place a few weeks back, i had my notes to write my review in instagram but never did it so thought why not now, so here it is.

went down to meet a friend after a very long time and we zeroed upon this place as he wanted to have a couple of drinks. so went in on a thursday night, got a cozy place for two and ordered tandoori chicken, mutton roganjosh, garlic naan, butter naan, fizzy drink and vodka i guess.

they served pappad with 3 types of chutney which killed my hunger as i was starving. they served my drink with it and the drink was refreshing. i'm not gonna say anything about the vodka because.... you guessed it... i didn't have it....( i took it too far there).

so, coming to the main course, tandoori chicken was delicious and it was boneless too, so no messy hands( even though i like being messy). it was adequately spiced, really juicy and was big enough for two. nothing really to complain about.

 

then came garlic and butter naan and mutton roganjosh. the curry was creamy and smooth. naan bread had good consistency which i like about it. the roganjosh was mildly spiced compared to other places i have had that dish from. i don't know how a roganjosh should taste like but i liked how they made it. i am gonna make it myself and i'm gonna look for authentic recipes after i write this piece.

that's the 3rd best garlic naan i ever had...(this is good though)

so we decided to head for a dinner since it was easter and after many thoughts decided to visit bombay balti. this was our first visit and was based purely on online reviews. its an enormous place with 2 entries, one via elevator (press basement) and other via stairs. as a starter which was recommended by mr.krishna we decided to have tandoori mixed which was just awesome. very soft and tasty. as a main course i picked up lamb biryani which was sadly dull. the meat was tasteless nd rice just okay. i passed on my remarks to the waiters and they promptly apologised and asked whether we would like to have something different. by then our stomachs were full and decided to go for our bill. special mention to miss deepa she passed on a desert as complimentary which was highly appreciable. my 5 stars goes to the special service of deepa and krishna who made us so comfortable. regarding food they really have to work on it considering the money they charge. it really has to be worth it. however at the end still good and happy.

best in service and best hotel for indian cusine.

i highly recommade this place.

loved the ambience at bombay balti. the restaurant was very calm and since it was in an open space, it felt super spacious too. our server was very nice and i have no complaints about the service. however the food was very average at best. we ordered for starters, the dal vada which was too dry, the cheese balls which was literally just stuffed with paneer and had absolutely no flavor. we got the vegetable biryani, aloo chana and tandoori roti for main course which was just alright. the roti was a bit on the dry side again but still not bad. our dessert was rasmalai which was probably the best item of the night, not overly sweet but still quite tasty. overall, while we loved the seating and service, the food quality was quite disappointing.

good food vfm. it’s an all time favourite if you want indian food that never misses. special mention tandoori chicken spicy and so good. the mutton boti kebab also very good. the biryani while not the best in qatar is pretty good too. will i go back you betcha

awesome place and superb ambiance....... food here is nice and service is on point. my friends ordered for a lot of stuff.... as i joined them later am not aware with the name of the dishes.... all were very tasty. overall a great experience.
