bob's sunrise cafe

we were very impressed with the service and the food was very good and plenty of it. i will return asap. most places only give you two pieces of bacon with meal. sunrise gives you 4. my wife had pancakes eggs and bacon. the pancakes filled her up. i was surprised she ate all the pancakes because she is not one to eat pancakes. she said they were delicious. i had the best french toast i have had in a restaurant. eggs and bacon were great also. waitress was very friendly and right there when we needed refill on coffee.

local, good music, nice staff. boise has many options for the breakfast lover. the best breakfasts seem to come from hidden back places, crammed in old buildings, or in places you typically would not venture.

bob's was one of the places i typically would not be. an old buliding, in an old parking lot, in garden city. even tho the location was a bit hidden, i'm happy i found it.

bob's has decent food. i'm not going to say it's the best in town, but i will say it's 100 times better then ihop. my first trip in i had the works omlet. tho it was constructed a bit weird (more like a sandwich) it tasted great. food was hot, facility was clean, staff was nice. they even had a nice mix of 70s and 80s rock playing.

if your looking for a good morning meal, give bobs a try.

cinnamon roll!. we ate breakfast here twice. first time we almost didn't. it was father's day and it was packed! kids crying, kids sucking on the ketchup bottles, a few well behaved kids with their dad, but overall very noisy. no fault of the restaurant. in fact, that shows that it is liked enough to bring dads here on their special day. the second time we went, what a difference. much quieter. whether busy or normal, the wait staff was friendly and very willing to please.
coffee: pretty bad. not horrible. i usually drink coffee black, but had to add cream & sugar to make it good enough to drink (not enjoy).
farmer's platter breakfast: diced ham, chopped bacon, country sausage, onions & green peppers atop golden hash browns. topped with cheddar cheese & 2 eggs. very good. the hash browns are shredded potatoes, which needed a little more browning, but otherwise and very good breakfast.
country platter breakfast: big chunks of chicken fried steak & grilled onions, atop golden hash browns, smothered in sausage gravy. topped with 2 eggs. excellent!!!
pancakes: good, but nothing special.
denver omelet: diced ham sauteed with onions and green peppers. topped with cheddar cheese.very good.
giant cinnamon roll: excellent. not quite as gooey as cinnabon, but fresh, full of cinnamon, with thin white icing drizzled and a huge pat of butter on top. so large, hubby & i split it.

the food was fast ,the service was polite and precise.amazing how tasty and properly cooked my breakfast was presented and what a change from grand reopening a few months ago! thanks 80's rock hairdo lady for making this my family's favorite breakfast destination again!

best deal in boise. fruit, oatmeal, and a two egg omelet for 4.99.
