bo fung chinese kitchen

i have never had a problem with this restaurant, until tonight. we, my boyfriend and i, always order the same thing: two medium chicken fried rice and two medium chicken dishes (general tso and i change mine). who ever took my order tonight, messed it up massively. he gave us two small cfr, which is usually what our white rice comes in. now, i will say the manager said he is going to send me two half sized cfr. i just got them as i'm writing this, he came back with a crap attitude and said, "i don't know what it is but here" *insert douche bag laugh* and slams my screen door. i am very displeased, espically since i have ordered with them for two years.

i feel that they are really cheaping out lately. the rice comes in the tiniest bento box you've ever seen and the package of crab rangoon only had 4 pieces. many places give you a full sized rice and 6 pcs of crab rangoon. their mongolian beef is the best however and probably the only reason to go there anymore.

i have been going to bo fung for 9 years now.. i'm a huge chinese fanatic and i have got to say that bo fung is the real deal. i have yet to have a bad experience with over 50 delivery's to my home. the egg rolls are amazing.. hot braised chicken is incredible and the crab rangoon is just as good. i would rate bo fung a perfect 10 out of 10 and would always recommend then to anyone!

can you hear me now?. we ordered a couple of times and the food was always ok- not amazing, but decent. the third time we ordered, the person taking down our selections over the phone did not hear us correctly, and as a result our order was very wrong when it arrived. we called and the owner was very apologetic and offered to give us a discount on a future order. so when i called in tonight i placed an order, telling the woman on the phone that because of our bad luck before, we were giving them one last shot. when our order arrived it was so wrong. i couldn't even believe it. 3 items out of 5 were wrong!!!!!! when i called in to complain, the same woman on the phone offered to send someone out with the correct items/amounts, but said that we would have to pay the difference on the bill because she didn't "hear me" correctly. first off- is that my problem? if you're not certain about an item the customer orders, you should read off the order to the customer to make certain it is 100% correct. i told her, ok- fine- we would pay the difference (!!!) if they would send out the correct items. during our wait, i got a call from the restaurant with the additional total- which didn't add up to the correct amount. i finally asked her exactly what was she charging us extra, and how much- she couldn't even answer me!! i ended up telling them thanks but no thanks- we don't want the additional/correct food after all! she goes, "ok! well, i'm sorry, but, ok!" horrible customer service. this is coming from someone who worked the food industry for years. especially when this was our second time in a row having horrible problems getting the correct order from you, bo fung- we will never return! the food isn't worth the trouble!

great place. i took the whole family and everyone loved their dishes. the place isn't much to look at, but the food, including the presentation, was wonderful. we were the only ones who ate in. service was very friendly. i eat a vegan diet, and their were several options that i could choose from. we will go again.

everything i've ordered has been awesome! i suggest special lo mein and chicken with snow peas! and i just tried the egg drop soup- perfect!!

always love me some fung !!. oh man.. where do i begin?! this place is the bees knees my friends!! gosh i can honestly say i have never written an online review on any restaurant until now! the food is great.. i highly recommend hot braised chicken, hunan shrimp, crab rangoon's and the egg rolls will make you wanna slap yoooo mama! $20 feed two for dinner and lunch the next day. i will always be a regular at bo fung because for the price, quality and taste.. it cant be beat. enjoy :)

gross. we ordered egg drop soup, general tso's and some vegetable chow mein. the soup has a strange gelatin-like consistency and tasted super bland. as for the general tso's it was not at all spicy and the container had like five peices of meet and the rest was all vegetables and soy sauce. the vegetable chow mein was interesting to say the least. last i checked "mein" meant noodles. one would expect some noodles to actually be in the chow mein! the rest of the dish was primarily huge slices of onions and some un-cooked baby corn that was clearly from a can....definitely a do not repeat!

i am seriously appalled that so many people voted that they like this place. the decor is horrible (although i could care less if the food was good) but it was not. very old iced tea. small portions. over cooked chicken. horrible tasting egg drop soup. both my husband and i are disgusted. do not come here!

while this food can’t compare to some top-notch chinese i’ve eaten in the past, it’s certainly in the top delivery. the chicken was moist, not dry, with a strong orange flavor (for orange chicken, of course).

best chinese food around! i refuse to eat chinese from anywhere else! and if i do it's on a sunday when bo fung is closed! i always have the orange chicken platter with crab ragoon! i live that the chicken is good all white meat chunks! i have also tried many other things such as sweet n sour chicken...beef brocoli.. and general tso chicken too! it was all great!!!

definitely a cut above average! tasty, perfectly spiced sauce for my orange chicken, with chilies, orange peel and scallions. the combos are served with pork fried rice, but i chose to substitute with veggie, just for something a tad lighter. again, the fried rice was a cut above...the veggies were tender-crisp and fresh. very nice. a special surprise was the spring roll that was served with the combo plate...crisp, flavorful and good texture. it's something that's usually served as an afterthought, but this was, again, more than that. prices were reasonable and service was friendly and quick!

very friendly!. i only recently discovered bo fung chinese kitchen thanks to urbanspoon, and i'm very sad that i will be moving out of delivery range (by a lot) soon. my food has been accurate (and tasty!) each time i've ordered, and delivery has been reasonably quick. best of all, each time i've called, the phone has been answered courteously, and i haven't felt rushed to place my order as i often do when i order from other chinese places. also, thanks to the replies here, i knew that i could ask for my order to be customized easily (easy on the onions in my fried rice, thanks so much!). i very much recommend this place for anyone living in south city!

totally awesome. for everyone that hates on bo fung they can kick it to the curb!!! there food is awesome and so it the service and price my total to buy for my self husband and kids is always under 20.00......now ordering at other places it always over 20.00 or even 25.00 for the same damn thing.....like i said bo fung is awesome!!! and always has been
