banh mi. had their banh mi special today. incredibly good. while i have liked blue ox from the get go, the sandwiches we had today were far better than i remember them being. check it out, you won't be disappointed.

the blue ox is an awesome soup and sandwich place. large menu to pick from and everything i've had has been wonderful. the french dip sandwich had the most tender beef and very tasty without being too salty. the staff are very friendly and helpful! great place!

my favorite sandwich shop. i've tried most of the sandwich shops in the area. blue ox is my favorite hands down. i regularly pass at least 4 sandwich shops on my way to blue ox. it's that good and totally worth my 15min drive out of the way. i take people here for business lunches a lot. the mighty buffalo is my favorite sandwich! the crew is great and quick. their club membership is also nice, i've gotten a couple free sandwiches and 10 dollars off on the lottery. i'm a blue ox fan and will be back time and again.

yum! i like that they have different things than the same old deli stuff you get elsewhere. love the sawmill! cajun spiced chicken, cheddar, bacon, fixin's, and the best part: smoky bbq ranch sauce (on the side for me). great combo!

one of my favorite lunch spots! it's a family-run shop with good food. try the gyro or meatball hoagie, my personal favs.

good subs/ highly recommended. blue ox serves a variety of different subs in which you can use their recommended ingredients, or choose your own. (i usually use my own)

the ingredients are always fresh, and you can taste that in the sandwich. i highly recommend the tuna or "shore lunch", which is a walleye. but all of the sandwiches are great. they also have homemade bars and cookies as well, with the peanut butter special k bar being my favorite.

the sandwiches are so good, i have trouble eating at any other sub shop because they cannot compare to blue ox!

definitely the best sub shop in the area. the staff and owners are friendly and will get to know you if you come in more than once or twice.

good sandwhiches, low quality ingredients. the sandwiches taste flavorful with lots of options for things to put on. the bread is good, but i was surprised they microwaved the meat and was unimpressed with the low quality of ingredients.

they have a variety of interesting sandwiches and their soup is homemade, which i would go back for.

this is the only non-chain sub shop i know of in the burnsville area. good sandwiches, and a wide selection (much wider than any chain i know of).

i decided to give the blue ox a try and found it to be just another sandwich shop. the food was good but not great, if you're looking for a quick bite to eat and don't want subway or quiznos, i'd say give it a whirl.
