bludso's bbq

let me start by saying: bludso’s is definitely the best bbq i’ve ever had. that was a simple conclusion to come to, once i had my first bite of the beef brisket. so soft, so tender, and so good when slathered with the bbq sauce.

this spot is the boom. i "m a chef with my own resturant and trust me i known good and tasty food .the b b q is the best in compton .or l a you can not go wrong with this spot.if there is a line please do not have a additude.i is worth the wait ,this one resturant giving another there will derseve shout out.sistahs soul food .lonng beach

it’s no secret. it’s finally here! kevin bludso, the grill master at  bludso’s bbq in compton, california, made all of our dreams come true over the weeked with the debut of the whole smoked pig. it’s about time we got it.  every year, i trek to bludo’s bbq for my friend’s annual special dining event. with the freeway construction on the westside derailing my shortcut, i had to painstakingly drive through five freeways to get to bludso’s bbq for the party. when i arrived, i noticed lots of changes.  besides the opening of  bludso’s bar and que in the fairfax district (a predominantly jewish community) in los angeles and the food show appearances, what’s new is remodel of the original location in compton. the entire take-out counter window has expanded. there still isn’t any tables and chairs to sit down and eat your meal, but that will soon change when the former church space next door is converted to the dining and banquet room.  what i’m also excited for is the super-large smoker per

omg....the best bque in cali... had the 3 meat combo ribs, chicken, and chicken hot links...baked beans and greens are great.. potatoe salad and mac n cheese need help.... the portions are huge, the meat is so moist with a great smoke flavor...would go back for sure....

...best texas style bbq and bbq sauce i have ever tasted (sorry saul and jami!) and all their accoutrements are just as fabulous.

as i work my way around the united states in search of the best bbq joints i have often been told to check out bludso's bbq in compton, california (most notably from big mista from big mista's barbecue ). unfortunately, i haven't been able to make a stop (yet), but one of our los angeles correspondents, miguel (aka the notorious bbq), had a chance to hit it up on independence day. here's his piece: a 4th o' july bbq journey to bludso's in compton. probably the best texas style bbq in l.a., which is worth the trip considering l.a. does not have the greatest bbq. i had the brisket and the angus beef rib (weekends only) both of which were brilliant. brisket was super tender and cooked perfectly as was the rib with its nice charred outside and tender inside to the bone. i had the "spicy" bbq sauce, which was perfect and not too spicy. the sides (potato salad, cornbread, greens, baked beans) were all very good - nothing amazing but again very good and a great compliment. i tried to order de

bbq heaven!. a friend told me about this place and on a whim i visited. not only is the q great, (tender, smokey) and the sauce good (smooth with a kick) the staff and owner are cool folks. i used to go to sc for my q but now this is my place.

and the sweet potato pie is so good it will make you say bad words.
