such a busy little cafe in the north lakes business park! we came here on a saturday morning looking for a good hearty breakfast and boy did we get exactly that! the bf ordered their blaktan big breakfast and after much umm-ing and ahh-ing about whether or not i wanted a sweet or savoury breakfast, i decided to get both and ordered me their matcha hotcake (under the impression that it wouldn’t be that big), and one of their bulgogi grilled beef baos (anything bulgogi, i gotta have). the pancake was sooo pretty, and absolutely huge! i unfortunately didn’t get to finish it as i was pretty much ready to explode but that was really my mistake. next time i come here, i think i’ll skip on the sweet and just dig in to their baos, mmmm delicious 😍

not the first time we have been here and the food is always top quality and oh soooo tasty. never disappoints. looking forward to the next visit. can’t happen soon enough.

just went there for a cup of coffee in the spur of the moment and i must say we were a bit disappointed and didn’t quite enjoy the coffee. we didn’t order anything to eat so cannot comment on their food. but i wouldn’t just go there for coffee. also the staff looked a bit lost and weren’t not too welcoming.

visited for coffee with a friend. staff were friendly and coffee was great! glad we tried this place, never even knew it was there! we will be back for food soon.

ordered the big lunch with a little bit of everything, was absolutely amazing! couldn’t fault a single thing about my experience there last saturday.

first time seeing this restaurant - we have never noticed it before...not sure how we didn't notice the big oragnge sign before ... we walked in expecting a modern coffee cafe and were hit with an asian fusion menu - was very surprised as the signage and name did not seem like asian cuisine. nevertheless we ordered ordered the blacktan big lunch $27 and the chicken satay salad $12 and side plate of steamed gyozas. all meals were so fresh and and looked delicious. very presentable and the wait time wasn't too bad considering they were quit busy. the coffee was good and the place had a great atmosphere. 

parking - there is plenty of parking in the large parking lot out front and the cafe is easily accessible & wheelchair friendly. 

we would visit again.

amazing coffee and food. staff are so friendly and welcoming. love their menu! we have been on two rainy day occasions its the perfect place to meet.

this is our go to for breakfast and lunch when it's our day off at work.

a favourite of my family’s for sure. have been too many times to count. not a bad thing on the menu. our favs are the baos and the okonomiyaki. wonderful freshly squeezed oj and fantastic coffee (we even use their beans at home).

to the proprietors: have you ever considered using milklab almond milk as your almond milk alternative (as many premium coffee houses are doing). it’s wonderful!

went here for a quick dinner with my partner for her birthday as she had work the next day and we didn’t feel like venturing too far from home.

i tell you what. we were amazed that there can be food his good in north lakes. the scallops and the salmon both absolute winners. we were both impressed and will be back to try more.

this is my favourite place in north lakes, without doubt.

i'm very surprised by the lack of reviews as i've never heard a bad thing about the breakfast, coffee or variety of options. the only reason i haven't written a review earlier is because i don't want blaktan to become too popular!
the staff deserve absolutely rave reviews, and i simply cannot fault them on any occasion.

the ambience in this restaurant was good. we had raisin toast which was served with mascarpone and honey on the side. also tried the belt without the egg both were done well. the caramel iced latte and orange juice were also good. quick and friendly service.
