be prepare for the loooooong queue as this one totally the best cafe at cronulla. waiting for 45 minutes in the rainy day and it’s totally worth it. love the place, ambience and their warm hearted food and drink. simple yet delicious.
coconut hotcake ($19) – fresh blueberries & pomegranate, passionfruit curd, sliced coconut. for the dessert lovers out there, i assure you that this is the best soury taste dishes you’ve ever tasted in your life. the combination of the sweet hotcake and the passionfruit curd make this dish to die for! (9/10)
oat, garlic & herb crumbed chicken schnitzel served with roasted jerusalem artichokes and a truffled kohlrabi slaw. as it is the new menu, so we don’t know the exact price. for the taste, i think it is one of the most delicious chicken schnitzel we have ever taste in sydney because not only does the chicken taste good but the sides enhance the flavour of the chicken. (9/10)
mushroom bruschetta ($19) – sauteed mushrooms, hummus, whipped goats cheese, crispy chickpeas, pinenuts, fresh rocket with garlic truffle oil on toasted. if you are a big mushroom fan, this one is suitable for you. this dish holds both flavour and texture because usually mushroom dishes are soggy but in here, you get the crispiness from the chickpeas and pinenuts that make this dish beautiful! (8/10)
morning glory ($21) – soft boiled egg, chorizo, tandoori roasted sweet potato, kale, pickled red onion, whipped goat cheese and avocado. if you’re looking for a complete breakfast, then you should order this. the components of this dish are so many that you wouldn’t get bored eating it! (8/10)
their specials dishes of the day: humble crumble ($15) – baked coconut crumble with pineapple, strawberry and vanilla served with a fresh vanilla bean whipped cream. and we’re lucky enough because it’s only available at weekend. this dish is like a replication of the apple crumble but all the components are different, the taste is also on another level as it tastes different every time you eat it. (9/10)
hot masala chai latte ($4) – so, masala chai latte is brewing black tea with a mixture of aromatic indian spices and herbs like cardamom, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, star anise and vanilla mixed with milk. not all cafe could make a good chai latte. the proportion of its element is important to make the great one and blackwood pantry could delivered a perfect masala chai latte! love it!
