always disappointing. i have a love-hate relationship with the black n brew. it's location is great, the staff is nice, and the place itself is cozy, if not occasionally overcrowded. but that's where the praise ends. the food is bland and always seems to come out luke warm at best. one of my best girlfriends loves the place so i've given it a few chances, and each time it has disappointed.
the vegetarian chili is more like bad bean soup. it looks like the cook took a can of corn, a couple of cans of beans, threw them into some veggie broth and nuked them.
the bbq tofu & pineapple wrap contains tofu that's not firm enough in a watery bbq sauce. again, bland and under-cooked.
if you do decide to grab a bite there i would steer you towards the omlettes. the signature omlette, which contains spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese does not disappoint.
