best steak in town!!. if you want a fantastic steak, this is the place to go!! however, be prepared to pay for it! it's expensive, but worth it if you can afford it. the ambiance is excellent. great place to take someone special on a date!! be sure to make a reservation! they could do a little better with their wine list though.

out of place. the best thing in this joint was the greeter, a young lady who appeared to be creole and had an exotic beauty that took command of the room. she definitely got the young single guys in our group to forget about how much they spent. however that is where it stopped. whomever chose the location for the black and blue steakhouse needs to be beaten black and blue. classy steak restaurants (or those aspiring to be) shouldn't be located in a retail strip center. our group was dressed casually following a long flight day. the ambiance of this place is more suited to sharp casual.

the food was ok, but not spectacular and way overpriced for what you got.

never been impressed. i've been to black & blue several times and never craved to return on my own. the spot is usually picked by someone who is unfamiliar with their poor wait staff, gross food, and gigantic bill. i will never forget the whole lobster i ordered when a full cup of water poored out of the tail and onto the plate, the table, my lap. i had a dish full of sides swimming in water. disgusting. did the waitress fix it, no! no my fav. place...

food was fabulous! maryland blue crab was sweet ad succulent, and the salmon was extremely fresh. beautiful presentation as well. we were disappointed that the cappuccino machine was broken, but the waiter brought us some chocolate truffles instead. i agree with others that the place is too noisy and the staff seemed confused at times. it all came down to the food for us, though, and we will certainly return.

first comped. meal of my life !!!!!!. your paying for the ambiance, and paying through the nose. a single oyster is $2.00 !! i have had better oysters for way cheaper. i had to send back an oyster because it was all dirt and undersized. after waiting a full hour for our entree, i got my special that was marlin "sashimi style" completely cooked through, the vegitable salad had an after taste of manure. my mother got a shrimp bisque that tasted like a concoction out of chef boyardee's kitchen. i got my meal comped and was offered free desserts , they were all frozen and shipped in. disgraceful! will never eat there again!!!!!!!!

carcinogenic steak! yikes. this is a very classy looking place. i was unaware of the 1700 degree oven used to char the steak hinted at in their name "black and blue". however, for years i have heard that charred meat may lead to cancer, pancreatic cancer specifically. google "charred meat cancer". there's lots of evidence that there's something to it. i would not subject myself to this risk again. prices were on the high side as well.

most dissapointing meal of my life. staff was slow and constantly brought out wrong items, lobster was dry, steak was greasy, and i was angered by the ridiculous amount of unessecary staff such as the bimbo bread & water girl, she not only brought the wrong bread but packaged our leftovers incompletely. i would recommend a trip to the grocery store and your own kitchen before a meal here.

mixed, but on the whole a positive experience. some all-too-rare but welcome, nice touches (like warm bread rolls, warm plates and sizzling hot steak-skillet presentation) in this self-consciously chic place. located in an upscale strip mall, the interior is certainly not as one would expect...in a good way...from a strip mall restaurant. good wine list at acceptable prices. the ribeye was done as requested and, with the garlic mashed potatoes, worth the visit. stay away from the cornbread croutons which are far too sweet and have the wrong texture for a salad. though the salad greens themselves were good, the salad dressing could not really make up its mind what it wanted to be. a note of caution would be too go easy on the steak sauces...the meat is better (and better cooked) without them.
